The police in Lagos have arrested two armed robbery suspects who 
specialised in robbing motorists on the highway and snatching expensive 
vehicles. According to Punch, the suspects, John Sunday and Onyekachi 
Oshonu, were arrested by operatives of the SARS on Friday, November 21.<br />
<br />
It was learnt that Sunday, 25, and Oshonu, 24, were nabbed in their hideout in Agege area of Lagos.<br />
<br />
According to the police, information reached the command on same Friday 
that some robbers had converged on a hideout and were planning to 
unleash terror on the area. Subsequently, decoy detectives from SARS 
were said to have bust the hideout and arrested the duo, while other 
gang members fled.<br />

John Sunday from Akwa Ibom State, said he is a musician, adding that he 
took to robbery to source funds for his yet-to-be-released album.</blockquote>

was planning to release my first album, but there was no money. It was 
where I was putting up as a commercial driver that I met Onyeka. We were
 plying Agege to the Oshodi area.<br />

“Later, we met the gang. They told us they were planning to go out, 
snatch some cars, sell them and make money. So, we joined. We usually 
robbed with two locally–made guns. We did not have a pistol. We went for
 the first operation, but we were arrested after the second.<br />
<br />
“I love music, and I was looking for money to establish myself as a musician.”<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, Oshonu, who hailed from Enugu State, added that their guns 
were with a third member of the gang, identified simply as Oguchi, who 
was one of the fleeing gang members.<br />
<br />
“I have gone on only two operations. I don’t use a gun. The gang member 
who has the two guns has not been arrested yet. I was formerly driving a
 commercial bus in the Agege area. I just married this year, and I 
needed to take care of my family,” he said.<br />
<br />
A revolver pistol was recovered from the suspects. They will appear in court soon.</div>

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has challenged the DSS to 
immediately tell Nigerians the outcome of its investigations into the 
cooked-up allegation of PVC cloning that forced the security agency to 
unlawfully invade the party’s offices in Lagos over a week ago.<br />
<br />
In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by its National Publicity 
Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said if no evidence of PVC 
cloning was found, the DSS should apologize to Nigerians for acting on 
the basis of faulty intelligence.<br />
<br />
It said any further delay in telling Nigerians the outcome of the 
investigations, after almost 10 days, could mean that the DSS is trying 
to manufacture evidence to support its faulty intelligence.<br />

"Without carrying out any investigation and with no shred of evidence, 
the DSS gleefully announced to the world that they stormed our data 
centre because they got information that Permanent Voters Cards were 
being cloned there. </blockquote>

"<span style="color: #cc0000;">On the basis of this uncorroborated announcement, the PDP categorically accused the APC of cloning PVCs</span>.
 It is now over a week since the DSS carted away materials and computer 
servers after ransacking our offices for over two hours. The agency’s 
experts must have analyzed the information in the materials and on the 
servers...</blockquote>

"Therefore, we are now asking them to immediately announce their 
findings to the world. After all, it took them only a few hours after 
their Gestapo-like invasion of our offices before they issued their 
baseless allegation of PVC cloning to justify their action,” APC said.<br />

The party said while it has gone to court to seek redress, the DSS still
 owes Nigerians an explanation and, if indeed no evidence of card 
cloning was found, an unreserved apology to them (Nigerians).<br />
<br />
It advised the DSS to always endeavour to act professionally and fairly 
in carrying out its duties, rather than taking beer parlour gossips as 
useful intelligence, adding: ”It is this type of faulty intelligence 
that has been stifling the efforts to desconstruct Boko Haram and 
faclitate the battle to end the insurgency that is daily killing and 
maiming innocent Nigerians.<br />

Prison Outreach and was supposed to be at prison today, he got a mail
 from the co-ordinator of the outreach informing them that their visit 
has been cancelled due to an incident at the prison yesterday afternoon<span class="aBn" data-term="goog_195758792" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ"></span></span>. In the email that was sent out, what happened at the prison was explained. See it after the cut...<br />

Apparently, at the Kirikiri Medium Prison , the inmate GO bought 
himself a microphone and a fan with his own money today and the Deputy 
Controller of the prison did not approve of it. The DCP ordered the GO 
to be locked up in isolation. This infuriated the inmates and demanded 
the release of the GO. <br />
<br />
A mob of inmates started 
throwing stones at the authorities. Hence, DCP ordered the Prison Mobile
 Unit to shoot on sight. Shots were fired sporadically into the inmates 
and scores are dead. I was informed that the K-9 Unit was also 
dispatched into the inmate population. The GO has been bitten several 
times and in critical condition.<br />

 Please be praying for 
him and the entire inmate population. Some of the ones who died might 
not have had any contact with family members since their incarceration.<br />

He also  told me he was living in a three-bedroom flat, unknown to me that the  one-room apartment he inhabited with his elder brother belonged to the  latter. When I arrived last Monday, he asked me to follow him to take up  an employment. When we got there, he snatched a woman’s car with  pistol. I was surprised. When I asked him if robbery was the work he  found for me, he said “yes,” assuring that very soon, I would be  counting millions of naira. The mistake I made was that I still entered  the snatched car. I should have left them because I was standing at a  very good distance. But I feared that people at the scene might later  lynch me if I did not follow them.”<br /><a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=7919906397202693774" name="more"></a></blockquote>Morgan and the other gang members - Suleiman  Abdullahi, 23, from Bida, Niger State; Samson Oyebanji, 23, from Oro in  Kwara State and John Oche, 26, his brother, were arrested following a  tip off.<br /><br />According to the police, the gang had on Saturday night August 2nd snatched  a Honda car belonging to one woman at Gbagada General Hospital  Junction, Gbagada, Lagos and afterwards drove the car to an estate in  Okota Isolo area. <br /><br />The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Okota Isolo Police Station,  CSP Adamu Ibrahim got wind of their presence in his territory and he  immediately mobilized his men to trace them. On sighting the police men,  the robbers sped off towards the Ire-Akari Estate, parked the car and  took to their heels.<br /><br />They were all eventually arrested at different locations  in and outside the estate.<br /><br />Oche, the brother to Morgan and a commercial driver who runs the  Oshodi-Ajah route said his brother was lying, saying Morgan was a big  criminal who ran to Lagos after committing a crime in Otukpo Benue  state.<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq">“My role was to drive the snatched car out of the robbery scene.  My brother (Morgan) is a big liar. I did not invite him to Lagos.
