The deadly virus, which can cause victims to suffer from severe  bruising and bleeding from the eyes and mouth, has claimed the lives of nearly 1000 people across West Africa so far.<br />

Last week, the Liberian government announced a raft of tough measures  to contain the disease, including shutting schools, imposing  quarantines on victim’s homes and tr*acking their friends and relatives.<br />
<br />
Today, Information Minister, Lewis Brown, said locals had started  dragging their loved ones’ bodies onto the streets out of fear that the  new government regulations would risk their own health.<br />

On Monday, the Liberian government announced via state radio that all  corpses of Ebola victims must be cremated amid fears the incurable  disease could overrun healthcare systems in one of the world’s poorest  regions.<br />

The order came after a tense standoff erupted over the weekend when  health workers tried to bury more than 20 Ebola victims on the outskirts  of Monrovia, Liberia’s ramsh*ckle ocean-front capital.<br />

Meanwhile, in the border region of Lofa County, troops were deployed  on Monday night to start isolating affected communities there.<br />
<br />
The outbreak of Ebola, which emerged in February, spread to Nigeria  in late July when Patrick Sawyer, a 40-year-old American of Liberian  descent, flew from Liberia’s capital to the megacity of Lagos.<br />
<br />
Authorities in Lagos now claim eight people, who came in contact with the deceased U.S. citizen Patrick Sawyer, are showing signs of the deadly disease.</div>

I decided to live and make  it. I learnt how to play all musical instruments on my own. I was in  persistent pains 24 hours – five of my ribs got broken in the accident,  but I had to forget my pains and forge ahead.”</em><br /> <br />With all the difficulties now behind, the singer and wife enjoy the  happy marriage, which has already been blessed with 3 wonderful kids.<br /> <br />Our best congratulations to the couple!

Man, 23 Arrested For R*ping 4-Year-Old Girl In Taraba

The incident was reported by the victim's sister, one <strong>Mrs. Marjdiya</strong>, who told the officers that the suspect had engaged in forceful intercourse with her sister.<br /><a name='more'></a><br />Isma'al was further indicted when his blood-stained shirt was discovered at the scene of the crime. <br /><br />The accused was taken into custody where he allegedly confessed to committing the crime saying that he didn't know what came over him. <br /><br />Investigations are still ongoing into the case and the police have said that it will be taken to court when the time is right. </div>

The incident happened when the girl fall ill and her uncle (who  considers himself a tantric healer and performs healing rituals) came to  a hospital “to treat her”.<br />

He diagnosed the niece with possession by an evil spirit, put a gag into her mouth and r***d.<br />

When the man attempted to s*xually abuse her for the second time, the  teen fought back, she recorded a conversation between them, sliced off  his p*nis with a pre-prepared knife and managed to escape.<br />
Thereafter she reported the matter to a village council and contacted local women police officers.<br />

The alleged attacker had vanished after the incident, now police  officers exert any efforts to find and bring him to justice. Senior  officer AK Singh, superintendent at the police station, said that the  girl did everything right and they applaud her bravery and courage.<br />

The next day we went out and came back late. On Friday, she  told me to stay back at home and rest because I was tired. She left the  house, saying she was going to the new apartment she was to pack into,  assuring me she would be back as usual by 6 p.m.<br /><br />“But she did not return by 6pm. Rather, the gate man came with a power  generating set, saying madam had gone to drop the workers.<br /><br />“When it was 8pm. and I did not see her, I started calling her on phone  but she did not pick. I called her up to 30 times without response.<br /><br />“<span style="color: #cc0000;">She came back by midnight and when I  asked why she did not pick my calls, she said the phone was in silent  mode. I brought out my phone and called her line only for it to ring</span>.<br /><br />“At that point I noticed she was drunk. I got angry and asked if that  was the way she would pay me back for leaving everything in Ghana to  come and spend time with her. I threatened to quit the relationship. <span style="color: #cc0000;">But  at that point, her phone rang and I told her to pick it but she  insisted that I should pick it and when I did, the caller, who was a  male, asked ‘baby are you home?</span>’<br /><br />“Immediately she discovered it was a male’s voice, she snatched the  phone from me and asked why I should pick her calls. I reminded her of a  similar incident when she came to visit me in Ghana and my phone rang.  She pick it and on discovering it was a female, she smashed the phone on  the ground, without knowing who the caller was.<br /><br />“I reminded her also that she collected my other phones from me and  brought them to Nigeria. In anger, I took the phone and smashed it on  the ground.<br /><br />“Before I knew it, she threw my things outside, saying I should leave  her house. I told her to give me the N300,000 she borrowed from me to  buy an air conditioner, if she wanted me to leave but she said she had  no money with her and gave me her ATM card which she said had just  N140,000.<br /><br />“At a point, she slapped me and we started fighting. <span style="color: #cc0000;">She  held on to my manhood and started stretching it. That was when I held  the wrapper that was around her neck and used it to strangle her,  thereby forcing her to let go  my manhood. She fell down and became  motionless</span>.<br /><br />“Immediately, I took her three phones, ATM card and went outside to meet  the gate man to see me off to any ATM machine, where I withdrew  N100,000.<br /><br />“I dropped the gateman at home, and told him I was going to pump the  tyre. At that point, I knew I was in trouble. I did not go back to her  house for fear of being arrested.<br /><br />“I drove straight to Mile Two, from where I picked a driver who drove me  down to Ghana. I have never  fought in my life, let alone kill somebody. I did not also steal her  jewellery and N8 million as claimed by the Police</span>. The only money I withdrew was N100,000 and her phone.”<br /><br /><b>Suspect gives thanksgiving in church</b><br />According to Vanguard, Lagos police command’s boss, Umar Manko, said  after the suspect killed the woman, he locked the door from outside,  apparently to make it look as if they had gone out. He further disclosed  that a new International Passport which bore the suspect’s name and the  surname of his deceased’s lover, was found on him, suggesting that the  motive was pre-empted.<br /><br />Back in Ghana, preliminary investigation, according to the Police,  revealed that the suspect took the SUV to church, declaring it was his. They say the colonialist conquered Africa by the means of gunpowder from  Arabia/Asia and germs. Hygiene was not a virtue in Europe. A bathroom was not a natural property of a home and till date, we find  in England that bathrooms are recent extensions of many homes, being  added later. The relevance of this is the relationship between moral  hygiene and disease. Europe had the worst plagues in recent human  history. The Bubonic plagues... the plagues in the dark eras. These  plagues wiped out much of the population of Europe, most especially its  men; indeed it was plagues and wars that led to the feminist culture and  women in the work environment, because with the death of so many  workers, women were forced to work to assist the European economy. The  plagues were directly related to filth in Europe. The colonialist picked  up soap and bathing habits from his exploits to Africa, the Middle East  and Asia.<br />

Fast-forward to 2014. Africa is plagued by HIV and plagued today by Ebola...<br />

What is the commonly attributed source of Ebola (if  we deny any biological warfare intentional dissemination), it is from  bush meat. In Africa many of us love to eat these wild animals. Baboons,  Gorilla’s, snakes and what have you. Nothing will stop us from biting  in to the juicy strands of these animals, spicily roasted. And these  animals remain the reservoir of Ebola.<br />

When we study HIV, we see similar simple cultural behaviors that can diminish HIV rates in Africa.<br />
<br />
Circumcision which is not only a monotheistic habit in  Judea-Christianity and Islam but dates back to Kemetic practices of  ancient Nubian Egypt; this simple practice of cutting off the foreskin  of the male p*nis reduces the risk of HIV infection by as much as 60%  from scientific studies. The cheapest methods of eliminating health  problems is prevention. And much invaluable prevention is in religious  and cultural doctrine.<br />

In the western world today, they have invested in perfecting expensive  methods of curtailing outbreaks and treating diseases. To Africa’s  shame, our leaders have been hopeless; hopelessly embezzling all the  capital that African states should have used to advance its health-care  system; and while they have spent time dancing and swallowing billions  of dollars for the state, diseases, crime, terror and other crises have  not waited but have advanced as much as modern innovation has permitted.  While African leaders today do elaborate opening ceremonies when they  build ordinary roads and establish train networks, the world has  advanced in leaps and bounds in disease management and also in type of  deadly germs.<br />
<br />
Ebola has plagued Africa for 4 decades. Africa has no hope of dealing  with it and waits for the west to look into our problem for us. Our  leaders invest nothing into directing the proper healthcare preventive  measures which are cheap to establish or in investing in and sponsoring  appropriate research into more complex levels of disease management. We  embrace the cultural dangers and advanced risk habits from Europe, but  are denied the associated health and social wealth checks they have.  African leaders and government cabal ‘business’ tycoons have the most  private jets in the world, but the people have the least health-care  expenditure per capita, per person – less than $100/year/person in  Africa compared to more than $8000 in the US.<br />
<br />
We call to Europe to help. We run to France, to America to set up  regional collaborations among us to tackle terror; we run to them to  decide how we must manage Ebola.<br />
<br />
It is to our shame in Africa; and it’s not just our leaders whose heads should be in the ground, but us all.<br />
