As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ who the Prophet Isaiah heralded as the Prince of Peace and Wonderful Counselor, I believe it is very appropriate that we all, Christians and non-Christians alike, reflect more deeply on the virtues and ideals which the Messiah espoused during his earthly mission.<o:p></o:p></div>

As we celebrate Christmas, let us also remember and offer special prayers for all of our countrymen, women and children who have suffered and continue to suffer untold hardship, deprivation and death at the hands of terrorists and insurgents.<o:p></o:p></div>

In this season of goodwill, I urge all patriotic Nigerians to rededicate themselves to doing all within their powers to support the brave men and women of our armed forces in the ongoing war against terrorism, and also support the Federal Government’s efforts to provide more succour to the hapless victims of terrorist atrocities.<o:p></o:p></div>

The Victims’ Support Fund which we have established to raise additional funds to assist our compatriots who have been adversely affected by continuing insecurity in parts of our country remains active.<o:p></o:p></div>

I call on all individuals and corporate organisations who have not yet done so, to donate more generously to the Fund which is being efficaciously deployed to ease the sufferings of victims of terrorist violence in the country.<o:p></o:p></div>

Dear Compatriots, we are also celebrating this Christmas against the background of preparations for next year’s general elections.<o:p></o:p></div>

I seize this opportunity to reassure the nation that my administration will give the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) all necessary support to ensure that it delivers very free, fair, credible and acceptable elections in 2015.<o:p></o:p></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
National security agencies will also be given all necessary support to enhance their ability to ensure that the elections which should strengthen democracy in our country are peaceful and violence free.<o:p></o:p></div>

I urge our political class to be law- abiding and place the greater interests of our nation above all personal or sectional interests in the countdown to the elections.<o:p></o:p></div>

Her car was at the mechanics for few days, so she had to get to work through public transport buses and that was how she met her ordeal. Luckily for her, she made it alive, and even though she lost personal belongings, it wasn’t too severe. She wants other readers to learn from her story and be more careful.  And then she has a question for the government.</span></span></div>

One- chance, for those who do not know, commonly refers to robbery attacks carried out on unsuspecting bus passengers. Continue below.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><span style="line-height: 18.2000007629395px;">I woke up that early morning without an inkling of what lay ahead, I believed  that as my car was at the mechanic place for repairs, I had have to move out early and be at work before 7 am.  As I was waiting patiently at the Daily times bus stop Agidingbi,  Ikeja to board a bus, a yellow painted- commercial bus stopped beside me and the conductor shouted under bridge Ikeja, I didn’t even think twice, I jumped aboard. Usually I am a patient person, but consider my joy immediately I saw the bus stopped  few minutes after I got to the bus stop when on the previous day, I had  waited for more than 30 minutes at the same bus stop I eventually trekked a long distance to get a vehicle. That happened to be my undoing. I boarded the bus without my usual perusal of the bus occupants.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><span style="line-height: 18.2000007629395px;">Anyway, to cut the long story short, I entered the ill-fated bus, immediately I entered I looked around back, and to my discomfort noticed all the occupants were men, eight of them  men including the driver, which I didn’t notice previously as some had their faces covered with caps and others dressed like women . It finally dawned on me, that these were no ordinary passengers, that’s when I said to myself ‘I don enter this one”.</span></span></div>

Once they noticed I was on to their game, one of them crossed to sit beside me and enclosed me in, saying he wants to get down at Coca -cola ,he later tapped me, and said in a calm voice " Madam, do not panic or shout so you won't be hurt'.</span></span></div>

I repeatedly chanted " Blood of Jesus" even when one of them hit me and asked me to stop saying it, But I just couldn’t stop. It was my saving grace.</span></span></div>

Though I took down the plate number and reported to the police, who by the way asked me to trace the owner through the local government where the vehicle was registered, as if I am a private investigator.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><span style="line-height: 18.2000007629395px;">2.  If your area is poorly lit, always in darkness or usually lonely, its better you move in twos, ask a neighbor or vigilante to walk you, get a particular keke napep/okada or cab to  pick you to the nearest bus stop or if you are not too late, wait till day breaks so you can recognize faces or take in more details.</span></span></div>

Is the conductor holding money(It’s a sign they are legitimate and the bus has been engaging in business since morning )?</span></span></div>

Is the conductor insisting on where you must sit?  Are you alone at the bus stop?  Watchfulness is key.</span></span></div>

Excerpts...<br /><br />How did you come up with MAG Divas Concept?<br /><br />It all started from my passion for fashion. I love looking good, I love being trendy, I believe you have to look the part and look the way you want to be addressed. Your outward appearance matters a lot, before people will really get to know you. People get a perception of you from seeing your outward appearance.<br /><br /><b>Where do you order your goods from?</b><br /><br />I travel to get my stuff from Italy, UK, US, Turkey and France.<br /><br /><b>How do you intend to juggle your career, marriage and your boutique?</b><br /><br />I just started and I’m sure I will be very good because I have a very supportive husband. He is very understanding and always there for me. I have also put up a very strong team. With my husband and my team, all will go smoothly.<br /><br /><b>You do well in movies. When was your turning point in the industry?</b><br /><br />My turning point was when I became known in the movie called Ara. It was produced by Wemimo Olu Paul, a producer based in Ibadan. That was a turning point for me. I got recognized as an actress and people actually took cognizance of me.<br /><br />You would have done well in English movies, why did you choose to act only in Yoruba movies?<br /><br />It is not like I chose to be more popular in Yoruba movies; I do English movies as well. Maybe it is fate. I started with English movies before I crossed over to Yoruba movies. After Ara, I started getting scripts from other Yoruba film makers. Because I just started, I couldn’t turn down offers. Before I knew it, I became popular in the Yoruba genre of Nigerian movies and I am okay with this. I am a film maker; very soon, I will produce my own English movie.<br /><br />How will you describe a good actress?<br /><br />A good actress is someone who can actually interpret the role she is expected to play to the best of her ability. A good actress should internalize that role and always be convincing. A good actress must always be professional; a good actress won’t be forming a diva and show up late on sets.<br /><br /><b>Why do you think some actresses find it difficult to sustain their fame?</b><br /><br />I feel some people are not consistent. People tend to forget things easily. If fans don’t see you for a while, they forget you. So, I think it is all about consistency.<br /><br /><b>People believe actresses don’t know how to manage their marriage. How have you been able to manage yours, despite stardom?</b><br /><br />I have committed my marriage into God’s hands. I believe it is only God that makes marriages work. The spouses play their part, but it takes God to make a marriage work. I am playing my part by being prayerful and being well-behaved. It is not about knowing how to do it right, it is just God.<br /><br /><b>Do you agree that entertainers live fake lives?</b><br /><br />Yes, some of us do because the society expects too much from celebrities. When you see a celeb at the bus stop trying to get a bus, people make fun, which may cause the celebrity to rather be seen in a borrowed car. Nobody can force me to live a fake life because it is all about me. I don’t live according to the dictates of people. I don’t live above my means.<br /><br />Most celebrities read scandalous stories about themselves and break down, how do you handle scandals?<br /><br />I have been lucky when it comes to scandals and at the same time, I try to be very careful because I know I am in the public eye and my actions would be scrutinized. But you can’t totally be free from scandals because I have read untrue stories about me. At times I laugh over them and at times I wonder why people would want to tarnish my image. I believe every cooked up story has a source.<br /><br /><b>Which was the worst scandal you have ever heard about yourself?</b><br /><br />I don’t think I have had any terrible scandal and I don’t think I will have any, so help me God.<br /><br /><b>How do you go about your beauty routine?</b><br /><br />I try to take care of myself. I exercise when I am free. When I am not busy, I do my indoor exercises, take lots of water, eat more of fruits and once in two weeks, I take myself to the spa to be pampered. I get a massage, facials and exfoliate my skin.</span></span></div>
