The burial of the late Dr Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, the first son of former civilian governor of old Anambra State, Chief Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, scheduled to hold yesterday in Enugu State was aborted following the disappearance of the deceased’s corpse, LEADERSHIP Weekend gathered.<o:p></o:p></div>

It was gathered that the two younger brothers of the deceased (Chukwudi and Uso) kept the corpse away from the reach of anybody when it became apparent that the former governor wanted the remains of his late son to be interred within the compound of a new bungalow he built in honour of his first son who died on November 14, 2014.<o:p></o:p></div>

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that Boko Haram 
insurgency would not end if President Goodluck Jonathan gets returned as
 Nigeria’s leader in the 2015 general elections.<br />
<br />
Okorocha made the declaration in Akure, the Ondo State capital, during a
 visit to the state’s secretariat of the APC with his team to woo 
delegates to back him for the party’s presidential ticket.</div>

He said President Goodluck Jonathan had proved incapable of handling the
 Boko Haram insurgency, and that the terrorists threat was becoming 
worse than the Nigerian civil war. He accused officials of the Jonathan 
administration of using the anti-insurgency campaign as a “commercial 
business like buying and selling.”<br />

He said the officials benefiting did not want the insurgency to stop 
because they were making money from the crisis through supplies of arms

The governor maintained that it would be difficult for the present 
administration to fight if its still holdup to power in 2015, stressing 
that some people have already been making millions out of it.<br />

Governor Okorocha also blamed the PDP for the continued existence of the
 dreaded Islamist group whose attacks have claimed more than 30,000 
lives. The APC presidential candidate accused the PDP of being “corrupt 
and incapable” of leading the country.<br />

He added that Nigeria is in a turbulent period as a result of poverty, 
injustice and impunity orchestrated by Jonathan’s administration. He 
said Nigeria was already in a state of war and that things might become 
worse in 2015 if Mr. Jonathan emerges as the president. He stressed that
 Northerners would not take it easy with Southerners in the country.</div>

On his chances as APC presidential aspirant, Okorocha said, “If you put 
Jonathan and me together in the election, I will defeat him in all the

There are strong indications that former National Chairman of PDP, 
Senator Banabas Gemade has dumped the party and joined the leading 
opposition party, APC, to realize his senatorial re-election bid.<br />

Already, Gemade who represents Benue North East Senatorial District has 
tendered a letter of withdrawal from PDP’s senatorial primaries due to 
the hijack of the process by Governor Gabriel Suswan.<br />

A close ally of the erstwhile PDP chairman who spoke to Vanguard on the 
condition of anonymity hinted that Senator Gemade may likely pick APC 
form on Monday to contest the senatorial election.<br />

reinstate the security details of the Speaker of the House of Reps, Rt. 
Hon Aminu Tambuwal, weeks after it was withdrawn in the wake of his 
defection from PDP to APC.<br />

A source at the Nigeria police headquarters in Abuja indicate that the 
police will hinge its decision to do so on the emergence of Tambuwal as 
the APC governorship candidate for the forthcoming elections.<br />

decision to defect. The constitution is very clear on that, and we are

Federal Government takes the security of leading candidates very

 ANPP was murdered in Borno very close to the election,  since then we

security around candidates a bit high," the source told SR.</blockquote>

When asked if the same number of men earlier withdrawn from Tambuwal 
will be restored,  the source declined to answer,  saying the only the 
police high command will determine such a decision.<br />

and sentenced one Emmanuel Sunday (alias Umoh Sunday Iyang, Iyang Samuel
 Chukwudi) to seven and half years imprisonment without an option of 
fine for obtaining money under false pretense.</div>

 convict was arraigned by the Economic and Financial crimes Commission, 
EFCC, on March 19, 2014 on an 8-count charge bordering on obtaining 
money by false pretence. He pleaded not guilty to the count charge.</span></span><a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=6589160015449763735" name="more"></a></blockquote>

 diligent prosecution, Justice Ajoku found him guilty on the 5-count 
amended charge and sentenced him to thirty months imprisonment each of 
the counts. The court also ordered that the convict forfeit his two (2) 
phones to the Federal Government.<br /><br />The journey to prison for 
Emmanuel started when he was arrested in Benin on August 13, 2013 by the
 Nigerian Army, 4 Brigade/sector 1, Operation Pulo Shield, for posing as
 an Army Captain to defraud one Igue Endurance of the sum of N1, 
545,000.00 (One Million Five Hundred And Forty- Five Thousand Naira) in 
the pretext that the said amount be used to facilitate her recruitment 
into the Nigerian Army.</span></span></span></div>

Nigerian Army and obtained the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira

 of it and paid the sum of Eighty Thousand Naira into your Diamond bank 
plc, account 0001857059, under the pretence that the said sum would be 
used to get Igue Endurance recruited into Nigerian Army, a pretext which

The Nigerian Troops have completed the operation to clear Mubi, Adamawa 
State of terrorists who  had mischievously renamed the town ‘Madina’ and
 operated in the town and the environs.

A mop-up operation is nevertheless ongoing to apprehend and deal with 
those who might be lurking around neighbouring communities. </blockquote>

More special troops are being deployed to other areas in the North-East 
axis in similar coordinated air and land operations to rid the 
communities of terrorists’ activities.<br />

A top military officer told PRNigeria that that desperate terrorists 
looking for escape routes may wreak havoc on soft-targets in 
neighbouring communities that are not affected in the military 
operation.

He said: “In their attempts to escape the intensity of military 
offensives, desperate terrorists have resorted to attacking soft-target 
in neighbouring communities.<br />

The officer acknowledged improved understanding of the communities on 
the military operation but seek for more supports from the civilian 
population in identifying and exposing members of terrorists group.

"The people must be courageous and brave enough in identifying the 
terrorists that are mostly known to the locals to enable the military 
curtail the excesses of the insurgents.

"We are working assiduously to also tackle activities of moles, some 
very young who spy for terrorists and invite them for invasion of 
communities. We need the cooperation of the residents,” he concluded.

Nwobodo, the first son of Chief Jim Nwobodo of the old Eastern Anambra 
State's governor. We attended the burial of Ifeanyichukwu today being <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1424521531" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">5th of Dec</span></span> but the corpse was no where to be found. Information getting to us was 
that the father refused that the first son's corpse will not buried in 
his so so large compound, which made the direct siblings of Ifeanyi 
hijack his corpse pending when the father agrees the corpse be buried in
 his so so so large compound. We have all deserted the premises. Not 
even the presence of Chief Ekwueme, Peter Obi and Sen. Ngige and other 
prominent people could change Chief Jim Nwobodo's mind. It was
