up to standard. I nearly lost many of them but they didn’t know I did those
films when I was still green in the industry. But I quickly retraced my steps
and in the process, I offended some producers.</span></div>

<b>What challenges did you encounter when you started?</b><br />
It was really challenging just like every business comes with its own 
challenges. I could remember a time I got a job for a very good role 
after going for the auditions from the outset. I was inside the location
 bus when the EP talked to the PM and the Production Manager came to 
tell me that the Executive Producer said that I didn’t look like 
Eucharia Anunobi and that they have someone who looks very much like 
her, and that was the person he wanted. I accepted, dropped the script, 
came down and went back home.<br />

<b>How did you feel?</b><br />
I felt bad, because I really gave my best right from the audition and got the role.<br />
<br />
<b>Maybe the other actress has features more than you do as Anunobi?</b><br />
Excuse me. The person that it was given to, how is she? She does not 
look an inch of Eucharia Anunobi. Please, don’t even go there because I 
don’t want to talk about that issue.<br />

<b>Are you sure it’s not because of s*x for role?</b><br />

Honestly, I don’t know about that and I don’t dig into people’s lives, 
but for my side, there was no approach because I went for the job. The

<b>What’s your notion about séxual harassment in the movie industry?</b><br />
There is no place where you wouldn’t find s*xual harassment, you could 
as well find it in the banking industry. The reason it’s so pronounced 
in the entertainment industry is simply that it’s for entertainment and 
people’s eyes are on it. So, in as much as you are a woman, men would 
approach you and then if you feel you want to date him and have some 
fun, you go ahead; it’s your life. There is no discrimination about 
that, but don’t make it look like you are being harassed or forced to do
 what you do not want to do. You have a mind of your own and you are 
mature enough to take decisions.<br />
<br />
<b>Have you experienced producers asking s*x for role with you?</b><br />
No, I don’t think anybody would want to do such a thing to me. When you 
approach me and you are good, I might decide to take a decision and have
 my fun.<br />
<br />
<b>Are you into a relationship?</b><br />
Don’t worry about my love life, I won’t like to discuss it, but when the
 right time comes, you would know. I’m single but not searching.<br />
<br />
<b>Does the lucky man in your life complain about your career?</b><br />
Not at all, he loves my job.<br />

<b>If your husband tells you to quit acting, would you agree?</b><br />
I don’t think such situation would occur, so I don’t even want to think 
about it. When we get to that bridge we would cross it, definitely. I 
think that a situation has ended a relationship for me before now but I 
just concluded that it wasn’t meant for me.<br />
<br />
<b>You look innocent, what would it cost for you to go n*de?</b><br />
Please, do not judge me by my looks, I could be crazy at times. I can 
act any part in a movie as far as it’s not a n*de movie for my role 
determines what I do. As far as it’s not Nollywood, but I can go n*de in
 Hollywood because I believe before Hollywood would request for such, 
they should have their reason for doing so. For Hollywood, I can go n*de
 because the n*kedness would go with the story and there must be 
something that prompted it, but here in Nigeria at a point we lost it 
and portray n*dity without having stories going with it.</div>

Before his sudden departure for Germany on Thursday, President Jonathan 
was billed to host members of the just-concluded National Conference to a
 dinner at the Presidential Villa, but the programme was cancelled at 
the dying minute.<br />

Although no official reason was given for the cancellation, it was 
gathered that the development was connected with the president’s state 
of health which required urgent attention.<br />
<br />
An authoritative source in the Presidency told LEADERSHIP that despite 
assurances that the president would return soon from his trip, it was 
not likely as his health situation was not too good. He said there was 
uneasy calm and anxiety in the Presidential Villa over the state of 
health of President Jonathan.</div>

Jolted by the acrimony trailing his entrance into the PDP, the 
Presidency may have withdrawn its support for the former EFCC chairman,

by certain governorship aspirants for the Adamawa governorship ticket

exploit the acrimony in the ruling party to the advantage of the main 
opposition party, the APC.<br />

A source fingered a presidential aide from Adamawa State and arrowhead
 of the Ribadu governorship project as the one who misled the 
Presidency on the political weight of Nuhu Ribadu.<br />

persons broke into a tailoring shop located at No.55 Odutola Street, Sabon

Sisters’ regalia. With the recent trend of female suicide bombings in the
country, the theft of these regalia heightens concerns about the possibility of
terrorist elements using same to perpetrate acts of terror.</div>

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo today in Oke-Mosan
Abeokuta registered for his National Identity Card (NIC) and decided to keep the
information about his next of kin away from the prying eyes of reporters who
were bent on capturing his personal data.</div>

Obasanjo who arrived at the National Identity Management
Commission office around 1:35pm, quickly had his height measured and finger
prints taken. But when it got to the column requiring information about his
next of kin, the former president who had been responding orally to the NIMC
officials’ questions, picked a piece of paper, covered it with his palm, wrote
the name of his next of kin and handed it over to the commission’s personnel.<br />

cameramen, and said: “I have decided to keep my next of kin secret and away

Lagos State Police Command is currently investigating the
circumstances surrounding the kidnap and murder of a 20-year-old undergraduate,
identified as John Chinedu Okere, who until his death was a 300 level
Electrical Engineering student at Covenant University, Otta in Ogun State.

According to reports, Chinedu left his parent’s house in the
morning of Wednesday, August 6, 2014, to a Hospital in Yaba, Lagos for medical
reasons and never returned. He reportedly left home with about N6000 and that
was the last time he was seen alive.</div>

The mysterious disappearance of Chinedu, caused a stir as
the parents ran helter-skelter, in search of him to no avail.  They 
gathered from some family members that one of his friends called on
phone earlier that morning to tell him to meet him at an undisclosed hotel.<br />

Crime Guard  learnt
that at about mid-day,the victim’s father, Jude Okere, received an SMS
notifying him that Chinedu had been kidnapped. Later, he received a phone call
from a hidden number demanding N10 million ransom for the release of his son.
The caller allegedly threatened to kill the victim if the parents refused to
comply as the line went dead.</div>

Chinedu’s  father
said: “ At about mid-day, I received an SMS that John had been kidnapped.
Later, I received a phone call from a hidden number. The caller said they had my son, Chinedu and demanded N10
million as ransom threatening to kill him if we refuse to comply. Immediately,
I inquired who the caller was, the line went dead. My wife and I quickly
reported the case to the Divisional Police Station at Sabo, Yaba.”</div>

After the case was reported to the Police at Sabo, Yaba, it
was later transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja the next
day where investigations commenced.</div>

DEAD BODY IN A HOTEL ROOM</div>

It was learnt that initially when the whole issue started,
the family of the victim felt it was a kidnap that would just be resolved but
unfortunately, as events continued to unfold, it turned out to be a
premeditated murder. Shockingly, the decomposing corpse of Chinedu was
discovered in one of the rooms at ‘DE Homes Hotel’ located in Ejigbo by one of
their staff, two days later.</div>

According to reports, the Manager of the hotel went to
Ejigbo Divisional Police Station on Friday, 8, 2014, to report the case of
murder and investigation began.</div>

HOW SUSPECTS CHECKED INTO HOTEL</div>

A reliable source in the hotel intimated that early on
Wednesday morning, the prime suspect, Okorocha Michael along with another young
man simply identified as Okey,checked into the hotel with the name Christian.
“He booked the room for three days with the name Christian. He claimed he is a
youth corps member who wanted to write exams and would be there from that
Wednesday to Friday. He also said he was expecting his cousin to join him in
the hotel.</div>

‘After booking, Michael left his friend Okey in the hotel
and returned an hour before the victim, Chinedu arrived the hotel, which was at
about 3pm that day. As soon as Chinedu arrived the hotel, Michael took him to the
room. We don’t know what happened inside the room. However, it was later
gathered that during their stay in the room, the suspect reportedly confronted
the victim on some personal issues. The confrontation eventually led to a
heated argument, which later led to the suspect strangulating the victim to
death.  On Friday, a hotel staff
discovered the lifeless body of the young man and alerted the police.”</div>

According to reports, Chinedu was murdered and left in the
pool of his blood by unfriendly friends, who brutally killed and abandoned his
corpse, went ahead and demanded for ransom from his parents.</div>

Crime Guard learnt the 24-year-old suspect, Okorocha
Michael, who was arrested on Sunday, in a friend’s house around Ajah area in
Lagos, is a graduate of Lagos City Polytechnic, Ikeja. He has been unemployed
since he completed his youth service in February this year.</div>

A family member who spoke on the condition of anonymity
revealed that the Okere’s were willing to pay the ransom, and were still trying
to get it when his corpse was discovered. ‘We sincerely pray that law takes it
full course, his killers brought to book and Chinedu will get the justice he
deserves even in death,’ the source stated.<br />
