Back in the days when men get married to three or four wives, there was 
enough peace in the land and ladies respect men as they should. These 
days, many lack respect but they want to be only wife.<br />

One lady who has decided to stop deceiving herself is actress Nkiru 
Sylvanus. She knows that some girls who are saying they want their own 
man are even enjoying themselves with other women husbands.<br />

In fact, she said churches are part of the problem as the number of 
single ladies in churches is three times that of the single guys. Where 
are the men who will marry all the ladies? Her words below...<br />

I thought what Doyin Okupe said was a harmless statement until <b><a href="http://ogbongegist.com/">Ogbongegist.Com</a></b> started seeing words like BLASPHEMY anywhere we go online. It was serious, many people come for Okupe.<br />

Nigerians have severely criticised Okupe, an SSA to the President on 
Public Affairs, for comparing his boss, President Goodluck Jonathan, 
with Jesus Christ.<br />
<br />
Insisting that Nigerians had failed to understand the many troubles 
Jonathan had gone through for the sake of "everybody" in the country, 
Okupe said, “There are political issues. People do not understand the 
burden this particular President is bearing. He is like Jesus Christ. He
 (Jonathan) is bearing the burden of everybody.”<br />

In view of Jonathan’s “untold burden” for the nation, Okupe said, it 
would be impossible for his principal to lose the 2015 presidential 
election to General Muhammadu Buhari.<br />

The presidential aide boasted that though certain politicians had been 
sabotaging the Federal Government’s reforms, especially in the power 
sector, victory was still certain for President Jonathan.<br />

“Today, the Nigerian Army is in total and perfect control of the North 
East. I can’t see Jonathan losing this (2015) election. It’s not 
possible,” he added.<br />
<br />
But reacting to his comments, many Nigerians lambasted Okupe for 
comparing Jonathan to Jesus Christ and asked him to withdraw the 
statement.<br />
<br />
Online activists who took a swipe at Okupe urged Jonathan to reject the 
title of “Nigeria’s Jesus Christ” which they said Okupe erroneously 
bestowed on him.<br />
<br />
Activist Tayo Moore accused Okupe of insulting Jesus Christ by comparing Him with his boss.<br />
<br />
Noting that the comparison was sacrilegious, Mr Moore advised Okupe not 
to hold the belief that he could “insult” Jesus Christ and go scot free.<br />
<br />
“Okupe has just confirmed that he doesn’t know or have Christ. It is 
only a matter of time before he (Okupe) begins to compare Prophet 
Mohammed and Jonathan in the same breath.<br />
<br />
“That will be his final undoing. I am wondering what CAN has to say on 
Okupe’s sacrilege, given its current ‘leadership’ or should I say lack 
thereof?”<br />
<br />
A Kano-based respondent, Nazir Galadanchi, cautioned Okupe against uttering blasphemous statement.<br />
<br />
“That’s blasphemy. Okupe should please seek for forgiveness,” he added in a message on Twitter.<br />
<br />
Political blogger, Japheth Omojuwa, described Okupe’s latest comparison 
as the height of “desperation” of the Jonathan-led Presidency.<br />
<br />
“Doyin Okupe just called Goodluck Jonathan Nigeria’s Jesus Christ. We 
have finally reached the peak of their desperation. How can you trust a 
bad marketer to sell a bad product? Okupe trying to sell Jonathan is the
 journey of a blind man leading another,” he tweeted.<br />
<br />
It would be recalled that while speaking during a live breakfast show on
 Channels Television on Monday, Okupa said Jonathan had borne the 
nation’s problems and woes on his shoulders in the same way that Jesus 
Christ had always carried the burden of Christians all over the world.<br />
<br />
Gesticulating widely during the programme, Okupe stated that, with 
regard to the Nigerian situation, Jonathan could best be likened to 
Jesus Christ.</div>

General Muhammadu Buhari was selected at the APC National Convention 
because of his sterling qualities. He is a man of principle and his 
commitment to the nation is undisputed. His overriding concern is the 
well-being of Nigeria. A man of such principle and leadership presence 
can never be a puppet.  Those who claim he is a puppet do grave insult 
to an outstanding patriot and millions of Nigerians who support him.<br />

The PDP would do better if they spent their time trying to fix their 
rickety ship after such dismal primaries than to cast stones at the 
APC's more democratic and genuine process. They speak in this manner 
because they are afraid the APC will confront them with a ticket they 
cannot beat by fair means. <br />

We will do our own internal consultations and arrive at a ticket we 
believe is best suited to govern Nigeria. If they are so interested in 
who we pick, they are free to quit their bankrupt party and join the

These days, it is becoming very difficult for men to marry more than one
 wife, yet there are so many ladies out there without any man to marry 
them, some of those ladies should second or third wives. Lolz!<br />

Like a scene from a Nollywood home video, a 57 year-old man identified 
as Valentine, abandoned his bride-to-be at the registry and took to his 
heels during a marriage registration ceremony over the weekend at the 
Oredo Local Government Council marriage registry in Benin, Edo state.<br />
<br />
The embattled groom allegedly abandoned the marriage formalities when he
 sighted his wife of 17 years who stormed the venue of the wedding in 
full force to disrupt the marriage.<br />

Sources close to the family of Mr. Valentine disclosed to journalists in
 Benin that the runaway groom had in the past approached marriage 
registry in several courts in different locations in Delta state where 
he was said to have secretly contracted another marriage.<br />

He was said to have perfected plans to formalise his relationship 
secretly with his latest lover when on the said day, he invited few of 
his trusted friends to witness the occasion.<br />
<br />
Information about the arrangement of the new marriage was said to have 
leaked to his first wife who had four children for him, and she 
subsequently mobilised other women who stormed the venue to disrupt the 
wedding.<br />
<br />
The first wife narrated to the bewildered crowd that her husband 
abandoned his responsibilities to the family since he got involved with 
his new lover, adding that, several attempts to save the marriage did 
not yield the desire results.<br />
‎<br />
“I had to do this because I’m convinced my husband must have been 
bewitched by the lady because since the rumour began making rounds he 
has stopped taking care of his four children. Each time he is confronted
 to provide money for our upkeep he often complained of not having 
money,” she said.<br />
<br />
According to PM News, the wife was said to have threatened to take legal
 action against the council should they go ahead on a later date to wed 
her husband and his beautiful girlfriend.</div>

have asked me, particularly on Social Media, why I think President 
Goodluck Jonathan deserves your vote. I will use this space to answer 
that question headlong and unequivocally, because I believe with every 
fiber of my being that reelecting President Jonathan is the best course 
of action that Nigerians can take if we do not want to go back to the 
old ways in which the government dictated to us rather than related to 
us.<br />

|| Nigerians want to know what a candidate will do for them. They do not
 want to listen to candidates bicker like motor park touts. Even those 
that do not support the President or the PDP have at least heard of the 
Transformation Agenda. Have you heard of the opposition's agenda?</blockquote>

Everything about the emergence of President Jonathan as the candidate of
 the PDP shows his party and it's candidate as the only truly national 
candidate.  The National Convention in the Federal Capital Territory, 
which is known as the 'Center of Unity' was auspicious and befitting as 
the PDP is the only political party that projects one united and 
indivisible Nigeria.<br />
<br />
Nigerians can take pride in the PDP and its pan Nigerian credentials. 
The party does not have regional bases. The whole nation is its base. <br />
<br />
The ruling has a unique ability to unite as a party that goes on to unite Nigeria as a nation.<br />
<br />
The PDP is the largest party in Africa and under this banner, we have 
grown our economy to the point where it is now the largest economy in 
Africa proving that as the PDP grows stronger, Nigeria grows stronger.<br />
<br />
And with all due respect, the choice between the PDP's candidate, 
President Goodluck Jonathan and the opposition's candidate, General 
Muhammadu Buhari is clear.<br />
<br />
Lagosians who are today escaping Lagos traffic via the air conditioned 
Goodluck train must be under no illusion that this service just appeared
 from nowhere. No. It came about via a visionary long term plan whose 
ultimate goal when fully implanted will see a Lagos-Ibadan High Speed 
metro line that will enable people live in Ibadan and work in Lagos. The
 contract was signed in August 2012 for $1.5 billion  and the management
 of the Chinese Firm CCECC has mobilized to site.<br />
<br />
The project itself, being part of the Interstate Rail Project, has been 
listed by KPMG as one of the world's top 100 infrastructure projects!<br />
<br />
This is a fulfillment of the idea that Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande had 
way back in 1982-3 but which was delayed when the military thought they 
had murdered that idea by canceling the project. But that project has 
been given new life today by the President Goodluck Jonathan 
administration because as Thomas Sankara said "you cannot kill ideas".<br />
<br />
Some people erroneously think that President Jonathan will not do well 
in the 2015 election in Katsina State, but the people of Katsina will 
vote for President Jonathan because he built the only Federal University
 in Katsina state as well as the only 6 Almajiri schools in that state. 
Before the ascension of the President to power, Katsina and 11 other 
states had no Federal Universities.!<br />
<br />
The 2015 election is about records. The President has his record and the opposition have theirs. <br />
<br />
The days of selling a candidate based on his ethnicity, region and 
religion must go forever. 2015 must be about issues, records and ideas!<br />
<br />
I, Reno Omokri, am proud to say that President Jonathan has never publicly or privately called for violence or bloodshed. <br />
<br />
President Jonathan's has bequeathed a good Human Right Record to 
Nigeria. No political Prisoners exist in Nigeria. No one is imprisoned 
for their views under President Jonathan. What is the opposition's Human
 Right record?<br />
<br />
When President Jonathan took office in 2010, it used to take an average 
of  7-8 hours to go from Benin to Lagos. Today, after the reconstruction
 (bot repair) of the Benin-Ore road, that same journey can be done in 3 
hours and the President sent the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, 
Dr. Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, to undertake the journey and verify the 
Estimated Travel Time on that road.  <br />
<br />
Some people say the opposition is coming to fight corruption and I ask 
them if they have seen the latest Corruption Perception Index released 
by Transparency International 2 weeks ago? <br />
<br />
Under President Jonathan, Nigeria progressed 8 points upward in the 
scale proving that the President is tackling corruption headlong.<br />
<br />
The major progress Nigeria made in the 2014 Corruption Perception Index 
released by Transparency International are the result of the clinical 
surgical incision made by President Jonathan at the root of corruption 
in Nigeria.<br />
<br />
Gone are the show trials that glorify style over substance with media 
prosecutions that do not lead to convictions. Under Jonathan, Nigeria 
has had more corruption convictions than at any other time and 
Transparency International noticed.<br />
<br />
Remember that the Fertilizer Procurement and Distribution sub sector of 
the Agricultural sector was  a veritable channel of corruption. Billions
 of dollars went into private pockets as middlemen inflated costs and 
supplied adulterated products to farmers. But under President Jonathan's
 watch, 14 million farmers were registered by the Ministry of 
Agriculture who connected them directly to the product through an 
e-wallet system by which the Agriculture ministry send texts to farmers 
to go and pick up their fertilizer and seeds direct from their locality.
 <br />
<br />
What greater anti corruption credential can you have than to weed out 
50,000 ghost workers from the Federal Civil service saving Nigeria 
almost 350 billion Naira per annum? <br />
<br />
As I speak to you, the Abuja-Kaduna Rail project has been completed, 
under budget and under the time frame for which this administration 
promised which is as a result of the new efficiency of the Federal Civil
 Service which, through the Federal Ministry of Works, had been able to 
supervise the contractors efficiently because no kickbacks exchanged 
hands.<br />
<br />
My brothers and sisters, as I unveil my candidate to you, I am confident
 not only that he will win the 2015 Presidential elections based on his 
record, I will further call on you and other well meaning Nigerians, 
that If you value human life, please urge INEC to make candidates take 
an oath not to incite violence when they lose in 2015. <br />
<br />
I sometimes wonder if the opposition think that President Jonathan is a 
time traveller. Why do I say so? When the opposition says Nigeria's 
problem is Jonathan perhaps they should explain why we had problems when
 some of them where in power. Is it that President Jonathan travelled 
back into the past to create the problems they faced?<br />
<br />
They say that President Jonathan has not achieved anything.<br />
<br />
In that case is it that President Jonathan bribed the UN to say that 
Nigeria's average Life Expectancy rose from 47 to 52 years under his 
administration, or he bribed the International Monetary Fund, IMF, to 
promote Nigeria to a Middle Income Nation in 2013 from a Low Income 
Nation before that? Or he bribed KPMG to list our interstate High Speed 
Rail project as one of the world's top  100 infrastructure projects? Did
 he compromise the International Food Policy Research Institute to say 
that hunger has reduced in Nigeria under Jonathan from 16% to 14.1%?<br />
<br />
I am not saying that Nigeria's problems are all solved. How could they 
be? It took us 50 years to get to the point we were before President 
Jonathan became president in 2010. Surely it will take us more than four
 years to get out of the problems we faced for half a century.'<br />
<br />
But one thing I can say is that we are making progress under President 
Jonathan. Elections are now free and fair and we have bade farewell to 
do or die elections.<br />
<br />
People can say what they like and be assured of freedom of speech and freedom after the speech. <br />
<br />
The era of politically motivated assassinations are gone.<br />
<br />
Our railways have been revived, our major highways have either been revived or are in a state of being revived. <br />
<br />
All those 12 states that did not have universities prior to Jonathan's ascension now have universities.<br />
<br />
In today's Nigeria, you cannot name a state in Nigeria where Jonathan 
has not built either a brand new university, a secondary school, a 
hospital or a new road!<br />
<br />
President Jonathan knows that a mind is a terrible thing to waste thus 
Jonathan built 150 schools for Almajiri. And then some say that he has 
only scratched the surface. My response to them is that if previous 
administrations had likewise scratched the surface, we won't have 12 
million children out of the formal education system in Nigeria!<br />
<br />
President Jonathan is building schools in every state because if 
disadvantaged kids had schools in the 80s they would not have grown up 
into adults that believe that books are haram!<br />
<br />
Those regions that did not have international airports before Jonathan now have.<br />
<br />
Today, Hyundai, Kia and Nissan have opened up vehicle 
manufacturing/assembly plants in Nigeria even as the government, most 
especially the Presidency, is patronizing Innoson cars as official cars.
 <br />
<br />
Nigerians want stability in their leader. You won't marry a person who 
jumps from relationship to relationship, so why support a Presidential 
aspirant who jumps from party to party? <br />
<br />
From 1999 till today, President Goodluck Jonathan has remained in one 
party come rain come shine. Who in the opposition can make such a claim?<br />
<br />
As elections approach, expect more panic attacks from a party that spent
 its time insulting and criticizing the President instead of selling its
 ideas to Nigerians.<br />
<br />
They say that they will form a parallel government if they lose in 2015.
 Under Jonathan, elections held in Edo, Anambra, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun. 
Which of them were rigged? Why is APC rejecting 2015 elections in 2014?<br />
<br />
My brother and sisters, never allow those who swore that they were 
determined to make some parts of Nigeria "ungovernable" shake you and 
turn your focus from the verifiable progress Nigeria is making under 
President Goodluck Jonathan. I can assure that just as he said when he 
declared his interest to contest the 2015 Presidential elections, under 
President Jonathan's leadership, Nigeria "will never go back to the old 
ways"!<br />

 in high school – by a priest – and for the longest time she blamed 
herself and kept quiet about it because she did not think anybody will 
believe her. She couldn’t even go to her family to talk about it...<br />

have our past whether good or bad or makes us unhappy, we all had a life
 that we lived that we are not happy about, you shouldn’t let it bother

When I was a young girl in my early teens in high school, <span style="color: #cc0000;">I
 was molested by a catholic priest, i blamed myself, i didn’t tell 
anyone because i was ashamed, couldn’t tell anyone cos i felt everyone 
would blame me, so i carried on the guilt and bitterness with me for 
years</span>. I was filled with hate and i became a angry person, i was 
rebellious, i didn’t want to listen to anybody…and because i wanted to 
be expelled from school to avoid seeing this person, i would do so many 
terrible things, everything around me was just so negative, i felt i 
wasn’t good enough….<br />
<br />
Anyway i moved on to the university, met the
 love of my life and i’m like, okay this guy is cool, he loves me…and 
then he started to abuse me….<span style="color: #cc0000;">i was beaten 
black and blue all the time, in front of friends, in public and at a 
point i felt, you know what I am not worthy enough, there is nothing 
about me that is nice, nobody loves me</span>. But i hid this from my 
family….i felt like a loser..so it was hard for me to focus..so one day i
 woke up and said i am going to change my story and i dumped that 
person, focus on my education and decided to be serious and be 
something….i decided to get a job and go to school full time in America…<br />
<br />
I
 worked hard…my parents were sending me money cos I didn’t tell them i 
was working but i was working because i wanted to be independent…I 
didn’t want to depend on any man or on my parents even though they would
 have done anything for me…so i did all sorts of job, i was a make up 
artiste, i worked in a cafe, school library, i did so many things and i 
didn’t realise that these jobs were building me up as a person, building
 my resume, my confidence….<span style="color: #cc0000;">people began to
 like me because i was adding value to their lives….at work i was 
excellent and so was i in school and that built me as a strong woman</span>…and
 at some point, i sought counseling to get over my molestation issues 
where i was made to see reasons why i wasn’t at fault cos i was a child 
then…today I am accomplished.<br />

<span style="color: #cc0000;">You can be whatever woman you want to be but you have to believe in yourself</span>, if they reject you today, it doesn’t mean you should let your dreams die, you have something unique about you. </div>

Look at my husband (Peter Okoye), when i met him peeps were like what 
are you doing with him, he has nothing but i stood my ground and choose 
to stick with him cos he had a dream. He and his twin brother did not 
let their dream die, they worked hard..look at them today! I stuck by 
him cos he had focus and drive and today i am happy, i have a good life,
 we are happy and we have got a beautiful family. No one can make you a

emotional yesterday at the ‘Headies’ and they revealed something about 
them that you will not believe!</strong><br />

The Nigerian R&B duo composed of identical twin brothers who 
produce and release their albums through Square Records were winners of 
the Special recognition award at the just concluded Headies awards.<br />
<br />
The duo who surprised the crowd at the event with some of their old 
tracks revealed how it took them years to save their first million naira
 after they were given their awards.<br />

celebrate, we were glad that we were now millionaires.</em></b> <b><br /><em> “To the upcoming artiste, you don’t make money immediately, it’s like you are investing in music and would reap later on”.</em></b> <br />

EIGHT persons,including a pregnant woman, were 
seriously injured while property worth millions of naira were razed in 
an inferno occasioned by a gas explosion in Akure, the Ondo State 
capital late on Saturday.<br />

             No fewer than 20 shops were burnt.  Also, 12 miscreants 
were said to have been arrested for allegedly looting shops while the 
fire raged.<br />
Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State and the state’s Police 
Commissioner, Mr Isaac Eke, visited the scene yesterday and addressed 
the market women and shop owners affected by the fire.<br />

          National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, and the state 
police command said nobody died in the incident contrary to some 
newspaper reports, yesterday. Vanguard gathered that the incident 
started around 6.30 p.m., on Saturday at a gas outlet located beside 
Saint Thomas’ Anglican Church, Arakale area of Akure metropolis.<br />
<br />
       An eyewitness said after the gas outlet was supplied with gas, 
his neighbours discovered that one of the cylinders was leaking.<br />
The odour of the leaking gas, according to the eyewitness, became so much, prompting the owner of the outlet to be alerted.<br />
<br />
       Vanguard gathered that less than 10 minutes after the owner of the outlet was informed, the explosion occurred.<br />
One of the cylinders reportedly burst and the explosion spread to other shops, razing them in quick successions.<br />
It was gathered that immediately the explosion took place, owners of 
shops and people who came for shopping ran for safety, thinking it was 
bomb explosion.<br />
<br />
      It took several hours before men of the Federal Fire Service 
attached to Akure Airport could arrive the scene, by then property had 
been consumed.<br />
Irate youths almost lynched the fire officers thinking that they were 
from the state fire service who failed to show up on time, despite 
repeated calls to them.<br />
<br />
      It was learned that sympathizers who trooped to the state fire 
service were told that they had no fuel in the fire truck and could not 
go for water.<br />
It was gathered that despite the combined efforts of men of the Nigeria 
Police Force, Nigeria Security and Defence Corps and men of the 323 
Artillery Brigade, some miscreants still looted wares from the burning 
shops.<br />
<br />
     Officials of NEMA, led by Mr Saheed Akiode, who is the Head of 
Operations for Ekiti State covering Ondo and Osun States, told newsmen 
that there was no casualty in the inferno.  He said those injured had 
been treated while those who were severely burnt were taken to hospital.</div>

Yusuf, who said he never knew his action would lead to the boy’s death, 
stated that he got infuriated with the deceased, following his running 
away from his house to stay with his mother, who he had divorced.</div>

 he refused, saying he had to go and take him home and chained him 
inside a room so that he would not run away.<br />

 Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Haruna Mohammed, 
informed that Yusuf conspired with one Ismail Idris to kill the 
deceased.<br />

According to the police spokesman, a Deputy Superintendent of Police 
(DSP), Yusuf chained and detained the boy for a period of 10 days, but 
he later fell sick as a result of the ill-treatment meted to him by his 
father. He added that the boy was taken to Rimi Clinic in Bauchi, where 
he died while receiving treatment.

<br /><strong>Obasanjo has again condemned President Goodluck Jonathan</strong> <strong>saying
 that because of his failure to act, the Chibok girls, which were 
abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in April 14, will never be rescued.</strong><br /><strong> </strong><br />
<strong>Obasanjo noted this during an interview with Rosie Collyer of Radio France Internationale (RFI).</strong><br /><br />
He also spoke about his book saying that 
everything he has written about Jonathan, he has also said to him 
face-to-face.<br />

<b>RFI<em>: Why have you chosen to publish your autobiography now, when 
Nigeria is politically charged ahead of February’s general election?</em></b><br /><br />
OO: You used the word politically charged. There is no time Nigeria 
is not politically charged. One thing one can say about Nigeria is, 
since independence we have had some high ebbs or low ebbs but Nigeria 
has been very, very politically active. So the question of which is the 
opportune time or auspicious time for a book to be published, it is 
entirely up to the publisher and of course the reading public. <br />

I completed writing the book, which took me about 18 months, about 
four months ago and I gave it to the publisher. And the publisher 
decided that after reading the book that he would like to publish it 
before the elections.<br />

<b> </b><br />
<b>RFI:<em> You are apparently critical of President Goodluck Jonathan in your autobiography. Why?</em></b><br />

OO: Whatever I have said in my book, I have said it to President 
Jonathan one-on-one. I have said it in public statements that I have 
made over the past two or three years. So there is nothing in my book 
that is new that I have said about President Jonathan.<br />

<b> </b><br />
<b>RFI:</b><em><b> One area where you have criticised President Jonathan is his
 handling of the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls. What advice did you give 
the president? </b></em><br />

OO: It is unfortunate. What I have said to Jonathan before and what I
 have said also in my letter – and I have said it several times – is 
that, once active and concrete action was not taken within 48 hours, a 
period of 72 hours was already too late. We will never be able to get 
those girls again. And the story of those girls will go on for the next 
30 years. Some of them will come out when they are adults or they will 
be sent back when they are pregnant by those who have captured them. If 
anyone is thinking of being able to get those girls released intact, he 
must be day dreaming.<br />

Obasanjo has already used to say that Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped in Borno state will never return back home.<br /><br />
He made this statement, Ocotber 5, while speaking at the Hausa service of the British Broadcasting Corporation.<br /><br />
Obasanjo said: <b>“<em>I believe that some of them will never return. We
 will still be hearing about them many years from now, some will give 
birth to children of the Boko Haram members, but if they cannot take 
care of them in the forest, they may release them.”</em></b></div>
