The sadly truth is that Nigeria’s militant Islamist sect Boko Haram has 
seized the key northeastern town of Bama after fierce fighting with 
government forces, says residents who spoke to BBC.<br />

Hundreds of soldiers have have fled the town, along with thousands of civilians, they added.<br />
<br />
However, military sources are claiming that the army was still in control of Bama, the second biggest town in Borno state.<br />
<br />
Boko Haram had said it had established an Islamic state in the towns and
 villages it controls in north-east Nigeria. If confirmed, the capture 
of Bama would be an extremely significant development and would raise 
concerns that Boko Haram’s next target will be Maiduguri, the state 
capital about 70km (44 miles) away, says BBC Hausa service editor Mansur
 Liman in Abuja.<br />

Residents told BBC Hausa Service that Boko Haram captured Bama, which 
the 2006 census showed had a population of about 270,000, after heavy 
fighting on Sunday and Monday. </blockquote>

But security sources said the assault had been repelled and over 50 terrorists killed, news agencies report.<br />

Defence Headquarters spokesman, Major General Chris Olukolade, has 
however dismissed reports that Boko Haram has taken over Bama. On his 
Twitter account he wrote that an eyewitness stated that Nigerian troops 
repelled attacks to claim Bama.<br />

“A witness, Mohammed Ahmed told Reuters: “There was an attempt by Boko 
Haram people to enter and capture Bama. But thank God for the efforts of
 the soldiers stationed near the mobile police unit who were able to 
repel them.” #Bama. Olukolade then later tweeted #Victory.</div>

I ordinarily would not have responded to Tom Ikimi's lengthy chronicle 
of falsehoods, cheap blackmail and abuse. My only reason for this 
response is that I know Tom Ikimi's style. He subscribes to the view 
that no matter how unbelievable a lie may sound if you brazenly assert 
it and repeat it often enough you may persuade many that it is in fact 
true.  I have seen Ikimi perpetrate this deviousness in his years in 
public life.<br />
<br />
1. Regarding Ikimi's bid for the Chairmanship of the Party. It was clear
 to practically everyone who had the interest of the party at heart that
 we simply could not have a man of Tom Ikimi's antecedents as Chair of 
the party. As chairman of the NRC, one of the only two political parties
 in the country under the military transition programme, Tom Ikimi not 
only connived with the then military regime to annul the elections, 
terminate the democratic process and sell off his party. He became 
Abacha's foreign minister, convincing the world that heinous state 
murders like the hanging of Ken Saro Wiwa were just acts!<br />

If Ikimi were the Chair of APC the party would have to sleep with both 
eyes open lest its chairman sell off the party before day break. <span style="color: #cc0000;">No
 matter what anyone may say about me, it is unlikely that I can be 
accused of supporting incompetent or morally light-weight individuals 
for important political positions</span>. My philosophy is to put the 
best forward, men and women of competence and integrity, who can stand 
up to us politicians to challenge us and say no when necessary. Such 
people are not noisy or able to gain attention by being loud, I believe 
my role is to do all I can to project them. <span style="color: #cc0000;">Who in their right mind would compare the highly principled Chief Bisi Akande, or Chief Oyegun with a Tom Ikimi</span>?
 Either of these two men are known for their no-nonsense styles, not 
once in their careers would you hear that they betrayed a cause or were 
anybody's stooge.</blockquote>

2. Ikimi also concocts a story of a meeting he claims I had with Deziani
 on the Oando/ ConocoPhillips transaction on the eve of the APC

Only a Tom Ikimi can come up with the absurd falsehood that on the eve 
of the APC Convention when I was in crucial meetings practically round 
the clock I was meeting with the Minister for Petroleum! What exactly 
would have been the point of such a meeting especially on the eve of the
 Convention? Was it to prevent Tom Ikimi from emerging as Chairman of 
the APC? To what end? Of what value would it be to anyone except Ikimi 
himself? Besides if this was so why he is back to the same party that 
purportedly planned his down fall? </div>

What is the Oando/ConocoPhillips transaction anyway? For those who do 
not know this is a private sale of the assets of ConocoPhillips to 
Oando.  It was not patronage of any kind from the Federal government. 
The Federal government's involvement was merely to formally consent to 
the sale. I was not involved and I have never been involved in any of 
Oando's transactions.</div>

Typically he plays on the fact that Wale Tinubu of Oando is my nephew.  
Oando has been thoroughly investigated by South African and British 
authorities in the past 5 years as part of the process of listing the 
company on the stock exchanges of those countries. Those rigorous and 
comprehensive investigations conducted by the governments and risk 
control investigators are to discover the actual ownership of shares in 
the company. Politically exposed persons like myself are prime targets 
for those investigations. </div>

<span style="color: #cc0000;">All these investigations have shown that I have no investments in Oando</span>.
 My public position on the entire transaction is that if an indigenous 
Nigerian oil and gas entity run by young serious minded Nigerians raise 
money transparently in the international capital markets to purchase 
private assets of a multi-national, the Federal government ought to give
 its consent. That it took so long is shameful. The Conoco/Phillips 
transaction was a $1.7billion dollars investment in Nigeria that would 
create more jobs,witness the establishment of allied industries and make
 the Nigerian Economy  more attractive. I would have been extremely 
proud to have made such a transaction possible.<br />
<br />
3. Regarding the nonsense about selling out on Ribadu. I think common 
sense should dictate that if ever such a deal were reached we would have
 had to inform our members in all the States. How could that have been 
done secretly? How do you tell hundreds of thousands of people not to 
vote for your own party without it becoming public knowledge?<br />
<br />
At the formation of the APC, a crucial debate ensued about what to do 
about persons like Ikimi who had done awful things in the past, but who 
were now minded to align with the progressive tendency in Nigerian 
politics. Should we forever blacklist them? This would have been the 
easiest route, but it would have kept rancor alive. It would have made 
us slaves to the bleakest chapters of our past. Instead we opted to 
extend the hand of brotherhood, reconcile and put the past behind us. 
This would enable a broader political consensus, while also giving the 
likes of Ikimi an opportunity to atone for their grievous wrongs against
 the people and be rehabilitated.</div>

We recognized that many leading Nigerians had committed acts of shame. 
Some for private profit, others who were otherwise decent people who had
 become prisoners to a terrible system.<br />
Not surprisingly, Ikimi acting true to type abuse that magnanimity. <span style="color: #cc0000;">He was never sincerely committed to the party. He was always playing out a PDP script</span>. </div>

He only wanted the chairmanship of the party as a bargaining chip for 
negotiations with his benefactors.  His defection purportedly on account
 of the loss of the chairmanship of the party is a mere subterfuge, once
 his ploy failed he had no other objective within the party, I knew he 
would go back to his sponsors. He is back in the company he deserves. 
And APC is better for it.</div>

Jezreel produced Oya Now. Story Story is no longer what we thought to be
 a most unusual collaboration as both Iyanya and Femi showed properties

mixing.<br /><br />8. IYANYA<br /><br />It’s safe to say that Iyanya has grown 
out of his Project Fame repute having fashioned an art and style 
relative to his music craft. Iyanya bade farewell to obscurity a second 
time when the vocal single that broke his career waters, Kukere launched
 him into the deep. Co-owning the Made Men Music Group music label would
 be the next big thing following the release of his commercial debut

Sultan’s Very Good Bad Guy. His third studio album R&BW -  a 
collection of fine love classics housed under music’s many genres was a 
sure breaking point, with Low Key and Yes/No as leading singles for the 
pack. Banky is a standard conscious artiste and this is evidenced from 
videos like Good Good Loving, Jasi and Yes/No in their top notch 
direction and styling. What’s more, he shows promising rap prowess on

this with only one KID-album, a bazillion records and features now too 
numerous to mention. He also sits atop the management board of Starboy 
Entertainment under which he’s released hot materials like Show You The 
Money, Drop ft. Wale, Starboy’sCaro as well as spanking videos Jaiye 
Jaiye & On Top Your Matter. In the features category, he turned 
things up with assisted vocals on Jesse Jagz’ Bad Girl, Maleek Berry’s

 spot for top selling albums in the world after it’s release, records 
impressive features with acts like Machel Montano, Bridget Kelly, Kim 
Almarcha, Shurwayne and Fally Ipupa with our picks being Go ft. Machel 
Montano and Let Somebody Love You ft. Bridget Kelly. In like manner, 
he’s been featured on T-Pain’s If I Got It with Akon, Chingy’s Falling 
Remix with May7ven and Becca’s Bad Man Bad Girl. While it’ll be 
difficult to shake off the feeling that 2face has got a thing for “rain”
 because his songs with the titles Raindrops, Rainbow (the Remix ft.

 Of All, introduction! Apparently he doesn’t need it no more. He’s 
Olamide - the Baddest Guy Ever Liveth at just 25, the only Yahoo Boy No 
Laptop, baddo certified and a celebrated street hop act who is steady 
writing the revolution of indigenous rap music in Nigeria’s blossoming 
music industry. While controversy trails him over being Naija’s most 
consistent artiste, King Baddo’s career can boast a record of features 
and releases that trump imaginable fathom. Are we talking clean cut 
visuals for Sitting On The Throne, Anifowose, Eleda Mi, Turn Up or even 
Stupid Love? Is it hot releases like Awon Goons Mi, Bora Freestyle with 
Patoranking, Story For The gods, Make Us Proud ft. Wale, Yemi My Lover, 
Duro Soke, Voice Of The Street or even his features on Lil Kesh’s Shoki 
Remix, DJ Xclusive’s Ibebe and Phyno’s Ghost Mode? Olamide whipped out

manager, Asa Asika. Still, he’s risen above the storms to forge ahead

drops. Shopping bridesmaids with the other girls, she knows will be a huge
nightmare because she is the “fat girl”. While shopping, The saleslady says,
"We don't have your size, so here's the biggest we do have," and she
gives it a try. Of course, it never fits. Her underarm fat is spilling over,
her back fat is folding over the waist, and she can't get the thing to slip
over her butt. But it looks beautiful on everyone else! And she is left feeling
guilty for being more than a handful. Again, the sadness begins.</div>

bag. She opens it. The kaki trouser is as small as a size 6’s whereas she is a

says to the platoon mistress. The lady murmurs, “Exchange with someone else”. (lol,
we’ve all experienced this). And she looks around, no one has her size. Most of
other corpers, she may ask will reply saying, “NOO!!! I no carry orobo size”.

picture on the Internet and the moment somebody likes it or responds. Fat
people go through this stress all the time and the society is not being fair at

while you are the reigning star. They will flock around you for that 
period of time. Immediately somebody else springs up, they will dump you

 know a lot of these stars that are now calling me to say Zeb, I heard 
you are doing something, you are not calling us. Why? Because they are 
not getting jobs anymore; they are not relevant anymore; the politicians

the movie industry are the Nigerian politicians. That’s the truth!" he

32 year old Nigerian Catherine Howarth was convinced she had been given 
the wrong child when midwives presented her with her new baby shortly 
after she gave birth at a Milton Keynes 
Hospital on June 1st. She was stunned because the little boy named Jonah

found two similar cases, both in America, that had been reported in

Kikelomo Ajibose Anubi, the second cousin of former
president Olusegun Obasanjo is pregnant at 64. Mrs Anubi who says there’s
nothing she hadn’t tried to get pregnant in her 28years old marriage says she’s
glad God has finally done it for her the natural way. </div>

Interestingly, Mrs Anubi attends late Prophet Ajanaku’s
church. According to her, she had met the prophet few months before his death.
He prayed for her and asked her to go home, and that was it. Even though he had

had done for her though the prophet. A reporter who attended that particular church service, met
with her shortly after given her testimony and had to ask her again, if she was
