<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><strong>As Nigeria's Super Eagles get ready to play Iran later today  at the ongoing 2014 World Cup in Brazil, PUNCH reports that John Mikel  Obi, Osaze Odemwingie and Victor Moses are the three Super Eagles  players that Brazilians are showing more love and demanding autographs  from.</strong><br /> <br />The trio play professional football in England's Premier League with Chelsea, Stoke and Liverpool respectively.<br /> <br />It was gathered that Mikel stands out as many of the fans' favourite  as they roar Mikel, Mikel, Mikel from the moment he steps out of the  hotel to the team's bus and onto the pitch where kids dare security  personnel in a marathon race to either embrace him, clean his boot or  kiss him.<br /> Mikel is reported to always show some love by clapping and waving back at the fans.<br /> <br />Mikel, who is playing in his first World Cup, while speaking with  newsmen on his expectations in Brazil said: "It is my first World Cup  and I am ready just like other players are ready, too. In this team, the  coach determines what we do and we do it according to his instructions.  People might not notice the roles of players but the coach knows and we  do things collectively to ensure that we come out victorious.<br /> <br />"There is love and unity in the team. We are like a family. All the  players are ready to give their best. And with these will-power, I think  that we will do well because of this determination.<br /> <br />"I promise good outing by the team. You are aware that all teams are  well prepared for the World Cup. So, no one underestimates any team. You  need to work hard first and also rely on goodluck. We've been working  hard and deserve to do well."<br /> <br />Nigeria is in Group F along side Argentina, Iran and Bosni-Herzegovina.<br /> The South Americans currently top the group after they defeated Bosnia 2-1 early this morning.</div>

Africa Can Win The World Cup In Brazil - Keshi

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><strong>Coach of Nigeria's Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi believes one  of five African representatives at the ongoing 2014 World Cup in Brazil  could end up winning the football showpiece.</strong><br /> <br /><br />Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Algeria and Cote d'Ivoire are the five  African countries in Brazil and all the teams are expected to face stiff  competitions from the likes of Brazil, Argentina, Germany and others.<br /> However, Keshi said his team's chances should not be underestimated.<br /> Asked how close he felt Africa was to winning the Cup for the first time, he did not hesitate: "Very close.<br /> "Because they (the African sides) are good. As good as any other  teams that are here. I think this tournament is an open tournament. The team of 1994 was almost five or six years old.<br /> "In 1994, the spirit was very high, we didn't care where the  (opposing) team was coming from, we knew we are going to go out there  and win the game. <div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">According to Vanguard report, the Super Eagles made  their request known to the Senate President, David Mark when he came  visiting them on Friday, June 13.<br /> <br />They also requested to be relocated from their Victoria Concept hotel  in Campinas to a more ideal place. They described their hotel as  isolated which makes them look like prisoners unlike other World Cup  teams whose Federations lodged them in better and more ideal places.<br /> <br />David Mark was said to have listened attentively as they tabled their  grievances, after which he appealed to the coaches and the players to  put aside anything that would distract them from victory, while also  reassuring them of the determination of President Goodluck Ebele  Jonathan to give them the necessary support in the tournament to make  Nigeria proud.<br /><a name='more'></a><br /> <br />He however chastised the Nigeria football assocition (NFF) for not settling the issue of appearance fee promptly.<br /> <br />There are fears that if the players request are not met, it might  dash whatever hope Nigerians have for the national team to do well in  Brazil 2014 world cup.<br /> <br />The whole country is looking forward to the Nigerian footballers' first game against Iran in the Mundial on Monday. More than 300 Nigerians had left for Brazil several days ago to cheer the Super Eagles.<br /> <br />It was reported earlier that the NFF had confirmed that the Super Eagles would get $10,000 as a winning bonus at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.<br />  <br />Reports have it that Nigeria will earn over $9 million about (N1.4b)  for qualification and participation in the first round of the Brazil  World Cup and if the Eagles move into the second round more money would  also be paid.</div>

The members who belong to the camp of Pastor Ralph Okebu turn up for  worship in the morning while those who hold allegiance to his wife,  Prophetess Caroline Okebu attend their own service in the afternoon,  inside the same church.</span><br /><a name='more'></a><br /><br /><div style="color: black;"><blockquote class="tr_bq">In fact, before the worship arrangement was  arrived at, worshippers on both sides had fought physically over the  use of the church auditorium located at Km 1 Enugu/Onitsha Expressway. A  source said it took the intervention of the police to restore some form  of order in the church as they were stationed in the premises for two  Sundays to avoid bloodshed…</blockquote><a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=7919906397202693774&pli=1" name="more"></a><br />Narrating how the crisis began, a lawyer who happens to be the church  administrator, Chuks Okonkwo, told  the SUN that, “problem arose in the  Church about last year… it followed a prophecy that was released by the  prophetess in the ministry, Prophetess Caroline Okebu.<br />Part of these prophecies touched on the general wellbeing of the  Church while a part of it touched on certain members of the Church,  including the head pastor, Pastor Ralph Okebu. So, as this lasted, the police at some point, about three  months ago, decided with the leadership of both factions that the Ralph  Okebu led group should be having morning service to dismiss at 12noon  while the Prophetess Caroline led group should have their own service  thereafter.<br /><br />Things are so bad that Pastor Okebu and his wife Prophetess Caroline Okebu are no longer living together.</div></div>
