One of his gang members, Hassan Ado, who was arrested during a foiled robbery operation, implicated Yayah during interrogation.<o:p></o:p></div>

The Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dr. Adewale Omirin, said on Tuesday that Governor Ayodele Fayose had ordered the sealing off of his office.<o:p></o:p></div>

This, the Speaker claimed, followed the action of seven PDP members of Ekiti State House of Assembly who illegally sat to attempt to change the leadership of the House, but only succeeded in approving the reconstitution of the local government caretaker committees and confirmation of the commissioner-nominees sent to the House of Assembly last week by Fayose.</div>

A statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Wole Olujobi, said the governor had earlier employed threats and coercion, including freezing the accounts of the Assembly, cutting off the electricity supply from the Speaker’s Lodge and stopping statutory votes for the Speaker’s upkeep and protocol to intimidate Omirin and have firm control of the House.<o:p></o:p></div>

He added that on Tuesday, the governor announced the sacking of the Speaker’s aides, including that of the Deputy Speaker and Majority Leader.<o:p></o:p></div>

Olujobi claimed that the Speaker’s official vehicles had been demobilised because their keys had been taken to the office of the governor, while his official drivers had been redeployed.</div>

But Fayose’s Special Assistant on Information, Mr. Lanre Ogunsuyi, while addressing journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, said the Speaker had yet to brief the governor on the incident.<o:p></o:p></div>

Maintaining innocence of the governor, he said Fayose had once saved Omirin from impeachment.<o:p></o:p></div>

He said, “We are waiting to see if the Speaker was removed or not. But we know the Assembly is empowered to appoint a Speaker extempore. What happened yesterday (Monday) was an affair of the Assembly. He (Fayose) has no hand in it. He is not a beneficiary of any of the action.<o:p></o:p></div>

“When they need us they will come to us. Up till now the Speaker has not come to the governor.”<o:p></o:p></div>

Ogunsuyi, however, said what happened at the Assembly with the approval of the three commissioner nominees was in the interest of the state.<o:p></o:p></div>

He said the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice was needed to draft document for the state to access the N220bn Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises’ Development Fund of the Central Bank of Nigeria.<o:p></o:p></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
He added that the Commissioner for Works also needed to represent the state at a World Bank event.<o:p></o:p></div>

Ogunsuyi said the government did not expect a smooth relationship with the Assembly because of party differences.<o:p></o:p></div>

“We don’t expect the relationship to be very smooth because of the party differences. But honestly speaking, the Assembly is for the state. They have the right to reject a thing if it’s not in the interest of the state but they don’t have the right to reject a thing if it’s not in their party’s interest.<o:p></o:p></div>

“Nobody should use the government platform to advance party’s interest.”<o:p></o:p></div>

The governor’s aide also frowned on the branding of the Ekiti people that went to witness the Assembly’s sitting as thugs.<o:p></o:p></div>

He said, “My people should not be addressed as thugs anytime they take interest in the activities of government. They are no thugs. They were the people that voted and are interested in the government. Some of these people have their business under threat while some have their shops locked by the former government.”<o:p></o:p></div>

Ogunsuyi also justified the sacking of the aides of the Speaker by the government.<o:p></o:p></div>

According to him, the last administration made a law that the governor will appoint aides for the principal officer and Local Government chairmen.<o:p></o:p></div>

“What happened was that the Governor had to revalidate the appointments. It is left for the Speaker to put heads with the governor. If he is interested in retaining those people, the governor would appoint them for him.<o:p></o:p></div>

“But he passed that law knowingly or unknowingly that the governor would appoint aides for him.”<o:p></o:p></div>

With the way politicians are behaving these days, it's only a blind man 
that would say he is not seeing how things are turning upside down in 
Nigeria. Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has likened the current 
spat of insurgency in Nigeria to living under a cloud of shame and 
feeling of dereliction.<br />
<br />
Soyinka said insurgency was thriving in the country due to the 
incompetence of the government and a clear case of lack of genuine 
leadership.<br />

He said, “We are sitting under a cloud of heavy embarrassment, shame of 
the feeling of dereliction, sullen responsibility towards children. We 
are sitting under a cloud of imp*tence, of a calamity that was not 
without notice, and whose myriad causes is quite discernible. </blockquote>

“We are here because of education because we will never stop learning 
till death. This cloud is made up of a sense of humiliation. We sent our
 children on an errand and they did not return. The errand is what we 
are celebrating today. The errand was to prepare the children for today 
but they never came back, that is what we cannot allow ourselves to 
forget.”</blockquote>

Soyinka spoke at the 2014 Foundation Day Anniversary and Convocation 
Ceremonies of the University of Ibadan, where he was honoured with 
Doctor of Letters honorary degree.<br />

Soyinka was honoured alongside Emeritus Professor Olufemi Ogunlesi, who 
became the oldest person to receive honorary award of the institution; 
and businessman owner of Globacom Limited, Mike Adenuga.<br />
<br />
Soyinka, who was described by the institution as the courageous voice 
for human rights, said although the gathering was meant to celebrate 
success, it would be difficult to cast aside the plight of the abducted 
girls in Chibok seized by Boko Haram insurgents over six months ago.<br />
<br />
He also said that the Nigerian government was guilty of the failure to protect its children and build a safe nation for all.<br />
<br />
The Nobel laureate said, “We are familiar with what is going on so I 
have decided that there is nothing new in what I am going to say. In 
Port Harcourt where I made a speech at the University of Science and 
Technology three years ago, I asked deliberately, ‘where is the 
University of Maiduguri today?’ In the US back in 1957 at the time of 
racism, the president of that nation federalised the National Guard and 
ordered it to protect a young girl.<br />
<br />
“Do we send children to school to have their hands tied and their throat
 slit? Yet, we have leadership that is asking the terrorist to come to 
the table and negotiate with it while children were being killed and 
taken away in Chibok.<br />
<br />
“What crime did they commit? This is not what our children deserve. It 
begins with the failure to respond as the US president did to protect 
the little girl. What is the difference between Nigeria’s Boko Haram and
 America’s night and day riders of hate and destruction? Both thrive on 
hate, intimidation and inculcation of fear, intolerance and terror. This
 is what is happening to our institutions, especially in the northern 
part of our country.”</div>

2015: History Beckons On Buhari To Step Forward

I am writing this article in my capacity as Joe Igbokwe, I am writing 
this piece as an Author and writer and I am writing this as a public 
commentator on national issues. I am not writing this piece as the 
spokesperson of Lagos APC. I speak strictly for myself and I crave your 
indulgence to give me this liberty to speak at a time like this. Nigeria
 is in a deep crisis and anybody who wishes this country well must speak
 out now or hold his peace forever.<br />
<br />
I have said it before that when a nation is in crisis, the people must 
search and fish out a great president. When a nation is at crossroads, a
 competent and strong hand is needed to restore normalcy. When a 
nation’s territories are being threatened by external forces, you need a
 president with military background to put a stop to the insurgency. 
When corruption, impunity and mediocrity ravage a country, you need a 
disciplined man with puritanical disposition to be on the driver’s seat.<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
General Muhammadu Buhari (GMB) has come of age in Nigerian politics. He 
contested the presidential elections in 2003, 2007 and again in 2011. In
 2007, he was mercilessly rigged out of power and he went to court to 
seek redress. The case went up to the Supreme Court where the three 
Supreme Court judges agreed that the elections were flawed while three 
voted against. It took the vote of the Chief Justice of the federation 
to save the country from national and international embarrassment...</blockquote>

<div>
 GMB accepted the verdict. In 2011, he returned to the ring to box 
again. This time the electoral thieves got bolder in the South East and 
South South. They loaded and loaded votes until they became satisfied 
with the number. A friend of mine who went to vote was told to go home 
because they had got the required number. Again the great betrayal by 
members of his party and the inability of members to work together 
created the room for PDP to retain power again. General Buhari cried. He
 wept for Nigeria, he wept for the state of nation and the level of 
impunity and corruption ravaging the landscape and he wept for 
generations yet unborn. </div>

He wept because he reasoned that Nigerians do not want to fight for 
change. He wept because the few who were choking Nigeria work twenty 
four hours a day and seven days in a week while the majority and those 
who should know better go to sleep and pray 20 times in a day asking God
 to come down to do the talking for them. GMB wept because he considered
 that he has tried his best to help restore Nigeria. He wept because he 
saw no hope for this country when the evil ones are getting bolder. The 
rest is now history.</div>

In the last three and half years the rapacious greedy lots in Nigeria, 
the corrupt, the meretricious mediocrity and the nitwits became bolder. 
NNPC, Immigration, Pension funds, NPA, etc became cash cows. It became a
 big scramble for these characters to pillage anything their hands could
 touch. NNPC could not remit all the money accruing from crude oil sales
 to CBN. When the former CBN Governor, now Emir of Kano, HRH Sanusi 
Lamido Sanusi raised an alarm, he was sacked with ignominy. Federal 
Ministers became laws unto themselves, attacking the common patrimony 
with reckless abandon, stealing what they do not need. The great threat 
to the nation’s corporate existence became the Boko Haram insurgency. 
Over 5000 Nigerians have been killed in the past three and half years. 
While the ruling party and the opposition continue to trade blames, the 
nation continues to go down. Mutinies reared its ugly heads in the Army 
of Nigeria. Junior officers started disobeying their superiors and our

In the midst of this, our infrastructure continues to decay. In 1999, 
our power generation stood a 3000 plus Mega Watts and after almost 
sixteen years we are now under 3000 Mega Watts after spending billions 
of dollars in that critical sector. Never in the history of this country
 has any leader played up the dangerous issues of Religion and Ethnicity
 as we have it today under President Jonathan. The Vice President, 
everybody including this writer fought so hard to make him assume his 
constitutional responsibility as president when President Yar Adua died 
in office, has put a knife on things that have held us together as one 
political entity. The president has systematically divided Nigeria along
 ethnic and religious lines, something unheard off in the history of 
Nigeria. Dangerously and tragically he moved from being the president of
 Nigeria to become the president of Ijaw nation. To make matters worse, 
some cowards and efulefus(nonentities) from his tribe took on other 
Nigerians, pouring invectives on them for asking questions.<br />
<br />
I guess it was these errors of history that drove General Buhari to 
throw his hat into the ring once again to see if Nigerians can go back 
to history and take the right steps to right the wrongs of the past 
sixteen years. After giving up hope for Nigeria, GMB decided to return 
to take his last chance to help Nigeria out of trouble. I may not know 
what informed his decision to stage a comeback but I guess he knows what
 is wrong with this country and feels he knows what to do to reverse the
 trend.<br />
<br />
I find it difficult to believe why the other equally good candidates in 
APC cannot step down for GMB given his antecedents, track records, 
history and character. No other former Head of State in Nigeria can be 
said to possess the discipline, honesty and integrity of General Buhari,
 all things considered. As a war time General, a former minister, a 
former Head of State, former chairman PTF and a fourth time contender in
 the race since 2003, I think that the man deserves all the support from
 all Nigerians to make it this time. Despite his dictatorial tendencies 
when he was the Military head of state, Buhari restored discipline and 
probity in Nigeria. His War Against Indiscipline (WAI) paid off 
handsomely and Nigeria is still reaping the fruits today. His 
intervention at PTF paid off too. His fight against corruption stood him
 out.<br />
<br />
If today, the people at the corridors of power hate GMB, it is not 
because he is a bad man but the fear that some of them will end up in 
jail for corruption and impunity. They know that if GMB becomes the 
President, things may never be the same again and many of them will 
enter the next available flight to anywhere outside Nigeria. They know 
that oil subsidy looters will not go scot free. They know that GMB knows
 all of them. They know money does not mean anything to GMB and 
therefore he cannot be bribed.  <br />
<br />
Nigeria needs a tested and trusted Buhari now and this is the reason why
 I am pleading with all other APC presidential aspirants to step down 
for GMB. He is the most prepared for this office at a time like this. 
The little we saw of him in the 80s tells us that his wisdom, courage, 
discipline, strong character, fearlessness etc is what we need now to 
drive the new Nigeria of our dream. We must seize the moment. We must 
grab it with both hands or history will leave us behind.<br />
<br />
Make no mistake about it, if we make the mistake of allowing President 
Jonathan to continue in office beyond 2015 we would have sowed the seed 
for this great country to go down. With all due respect, and without 
sounding immodest, President Jonathan has nothing to offer Nigeria. His 
emergence in 2010 was a big mistake. It was an error of history. It was 
something that could never have happened if we had known his innermost 
disposition, his training, his background, his philosophy, his ideology 
and his character. He cannot fight the insurgents, he cannot fight 
impunity, he cannot fight corruption, he cannot fight mediocrity, he 
cannot hold the country together and he simply cannot get it. The age of
 his ideas worries me to the marrows.<br />
<br />
Let us help to get President GEJ out of the China’s shop to forestall 
further colossal damage. HE has tried his best and has made history for 
himself and his people but his best is not good enough for the country. 
This country is far bigger than the ambition of one man and therefore 
President Jonathan should be prepared to go because he will be roundly 
and mercilessly defeated in 2015.<br />

 27-year-old robbery suspect has revealed that he usually had s*x with 
his dogs for spiritual powers before going for any robbery operation in 
Lagos State, western Nigeria.<br /><br />The suspect, Bala Yayah, said his success in most of his robbery operations was because he usually had s*x with dogs.<br /><br />The
 Beninoise who resides in Badagry area of Lagos State, said despite the 
fact that he has many girlfriends, he has ten female dogs he usually had
 s*x with.<br /><br />He revealed that he takes proper care of the dogs from his robbery loot.<br /><br />Yayah was recently arrested by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, led by Abba Kyari.<br /><br />One of his gang members, Hassan Ado, who was arrested during a foiled robbery operation, implicated Yayah during interrogation.<br /><br />It was Ado that took SARS to Yayah’s house in Badagary where he was arrested.<br /><br />On why he embarked on such act, he said it was his spiritualist who told him to sleep with dogs for spiritual powers.<br /><br />On
 whether it worked, he admitted that it worked and added that if it was 
during a robbery operation it would have been impossible to arrest him.<br /><br />Yayah
 admitted that he was a member of the gang that has been terrorizing 
people along Lagos-Badagary expressway for years and said he regrets 
getting involved in robbery.<br /><br />On how he joined robbery, he said it
 was Ado that introduced him into robbery and ironically, he was the 
same person that handed him over to the police.<br /><br />On whether his 
neighbours knew he was sleeping with dogs, he said they thought that he 
was a lover of dogs, not knowing he was using them for s*x.<br /><br />Police said he would be charged to court after the conclusion of investigation.</span></span><br />

early hours of Tuesday, November 11, over a N50 bribe. </span><br />

was driving a commercial bus which departed from Jos in Plateau State 
Monday night, with a full set of passengers bound for Lagos. As they 
approached Lagos from Ibadan around 1 p.m. during their journey they 
were stopped by a policeman in a patrol van on the highway. The van was 
later identified by its plate number, C NPF 6843.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">After 
stopping the bus, the unidentified policeman reportedly demanded a N50 
bribe from the driver, but the driver said he only had N1,000 notes.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The driver 
had also asked his passengers to assist him with a N50 note to pay the 
bribe demanded, but none of the passengers had it.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Following 
the vain search, the driver had offered his N1,000 note to the policeman
 and asked for "change". But the policeman reacted with anger, asking

said the argument was very brief and the policeman ordered the driver 
down from the bus. He then allegedly shot the driver in the pelvic area

electoral body said it will sanction presidential aspirants that spend 
above N1billion on campaign. The Chief Press Secretary to the INEC 
chairman, Kayode Idowu, on Monday in Abuja stated this in an interview 
with journalists following the lifting of the ban on election campaigns.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“According 
to section 91 of the Electoral Act, 2010 as amended, the maximum 
expenses to be incurred by a candidate at a presidential election shall 
be N1 billion; for governorship, it is N200 million and the act also 
stipulated sanctions for candidate who flaunted the campaign spending 
limits.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“The 
sanction for presidential election is N1 million or 12 months 
imprisonment or both and for governor, N800,000 or nine months or both.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">NAN reports 
that in line with the electoral timetable released by INEC, presidential
 and National Assembly aspirants of political parties are allowed to 
commence campaign from November 16.</span><br />

<br /><a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a><span style="font-size: medium;">In a Recent chat with <i><u>Encomium</u></i>, Veteran Yoruba actor, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan Popularly Ogogo recapped the ugly moment which almost sent him to the great beyond..see excerpts below:<br /><br />On Friday, October 31, 2014, you clocked 55.  How does that make you feel?<br /><br />First, I give thanks to Almighty Allah for the grace.  Clocking 55 really makes me feel happy.  I am grateful to Allah for sparing my life till this moment.  Although, it has not been that easy and smooth, I still thank God for His mercies on me all this while.  I have a lot of reasons to be grateful to God, especially how I came out of my terrible experience when I took ill.  I will forever thank God for sailing me through.  And I pray that won’t be my portion again and all those who love me wholeheartedly.<br /><br />Can you share with us some of your happy moments?<br /><br />I have a lot of moments that called for celebrations.  God has been so wonderful to me.  And I must also be very grateful to my parents because without them, maybe I wouldn’t have known God.  Not only that, they also tried in the aspect of education.  Then, I am happily married, and I am blessed with lovely children. Each time I see them, I am always happy.  I always thank God. I am praying to be a grandfather very soon (laughs).  If we now talk of automobiles, house to call my own, Alhamdullilahi.  I don’t need to be talking about things like these but just to give thanks to Almighty Allah, who has been blessing my career since day one.<br /><br />What about your saddest moment?<br /><br />Yes, there is no way you live and won’t have one or two negative stories to tell. It’s not by my power or wisdom.  Everything was beyond human knowledge.  I will continue to be grateful to all my fans and the media for their support all through.  Whatever I am today it’s through you guys.  If you’re into anything and nobody is appreciating you it’s like you’re not doing anything.  But so far you have people around you, appreciating your work, it inspires you to forge ahead.  That’s exactly what keeps Ogogo moving till date.  So, I must forever be thankful to Allah for the kind of grace I am enjoying within the industry and beyond.  Even in my hometown, they all appreciate me, they see me as one of their illustrious sons.  Our monarch, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle Agunloye II, the Olu of Yewaland, also accords me special recognition.  The same way all other Obas in our area treat me.  I appreciate them all, may Almighty Allah continue to be with them.<br /><br />Was there any time you made a decision that called for regret?<br /><br />No, there wasn’t any moment of such.  I believe if anything happens to me, it’s to the best knowledge of Almighty Allah.  So there was nothing I did that I regretted.<br /><br />We’re happy to see your new look, how do you feel now regaining your physique fully?<br /><br />I feel very happy and joyous.  All I need is to continue to thank Allah for His mercies and protection. I believe what happened to me was a test of faith which Allah made me to overcome.  It’s not by my power but His grace.  A lot of rumours were filtering around then, some said it was cocaine that I was unable to excrete that burst inside my stomach and destroyed my intestines.  Some even said I contacted HIV/AIDS and much more which they later found out that up till now, I am still alive, kicking and bouncing.  It’s a surprise to see Ogogo come alive from a sickness which everybody had already concluded that I might not survive it.  I heard more than enough rumours, but personally, I knew what went wrong with my health.  I had a very terrible experience which I can never forget.  It was a miracle that I came out of it, and now I am back to my normal stature, the hunky Ogogo.  It’s just the parable of a dog that visited the lion’s den and returned safely, it should be very thankful to God.  Whatever anybody might have said, I have forgiven them all.  Glory be to Almighty Allah.<br /><br />For the benefit of those that will be reading your story for the first time, what were you diagnosed of?<br /><br />I had chronic ulcer.  You can imagine what will happen to a person that couldn’t eat anything apart from pap for seven months.  I was so lean.  Maybe, that was what actually fuelled the speculation that I had HIV/AIDS.  If I ate any other thing then, even if it’s a teaspoon of rice, I would vomit everything. I would even vomit blood.  I pray that won’t be your portion, and that of everybody that loves you as well.  I also pray that till I finish my assignment on earth, I won’t experience such again.  It’s an experience I don’t like to continue talking about.<br /><br />You’re a ladies’ man, have your female admirers start showing up now that you’re back fully in looks and everything?<br /><br />(Laughs) The love women had for me before my predicament was still there even when I was down.  And there were some of my male colleagues that found it difficult to hug me because of my ailment.  But I thank God for my life today.  Am I not the one that’s 55 now, the age a lot of people didn’t know I would attain?  I could still recollect running medical tests alone cost me fortunes.  For about four months, I was on the same spot. I was performing my five daily prayers, sitting.  I couldn’t stand on my legs.  I thought all was over.  But God revealed to me that it was just a test to know how close I was to Him.<br /><br />That means, the situation also drew you nearer to God?<br /><br />Even before then, I was very close to God but I became closer.  I will forever worship Him.  He has done me proud.<br />ogogo<br /><br />What lesson did you learn from your predicament?<br /><br />The only lesson I learnt is that life is vanity.  There is nothing to die for. One just need to be very close to God.  Heaven is what matters a lot.  When I was sick, I had started work on my house. I refused to sell the property. It’s that same house I am living in today.  And I thank God, if they say it’s a very powerful politician that owns it, you won’t argue.<br /><br />Can you tell us the worth of the house?<br /><br />I only know it costs a lot of money. I can’t say exactly how much it gulped.  Besides, I don’t comment much on such things.<br /><br />Was the house built out of your earnings from acting alone?<br /><br />Yes, Almighty Allah can bear me witness. I don’t have any other means of livelihood than acting and film making.  Cocaine or no cocaine, I don’t know anything about that.  I have never been involved in any shady business. I thank God for blessing my career marvelously.<br /><br />At 55, what are the things you feel you can’t do again?<br /><br />There is nothing I was doing that I can’t do again.  At 55, I am still the same, even much more stronger.  Talk in terms of my role as an actor and that of a man (laughs).  I am very agile.  What I think is working for me is that I don’t drink or smoke.  I eat quality food.  If one follows health rules, the person will surely look fit all the time.  But left to me, I am a traditional man to the core.  I don’t believe in all these orthodox medicines, I use herbs a lot and that has been working for me.  Above all, God.<br /><br />Would you say God has blessed you abundantly at 55?<br /><br />Alhamdulillahi. He has really blessed me.<br /><br />What more do you want from Him?<br /><br />He knows best, and I believe He would do everything I need for me.</span></div>

Three members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have urged the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja to disqualify a former defence minister Musiliu Obanikoro from seeking governorship nomination in the party’s primaries, <a href="http://thenationonlineng.net/new/pdp-members-urge-court-to-disqualify-obanikoro-2/" style="color: #ab2422; text-decoration: none;" target="_blank">The Nation</a> reports.<o:p></o:p></div>

They said having previously presented a forged <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD6" style="background-attachment: scroll !important; background-clip: initial !important; background-color: transparent !important; background-image: none !important; background-origin: initial !important; background-position: 0% 50%; background-repeat: repeat !important; background-size: initial !important; border-bottom-color: rgb(0, 153, 0) !important; border-bottom-style: dotted !important; border-bottom-width: 1px !important; color: rgb(0, 153, 0) !important; cursor: pointer !important; display: inline !important; float: none !important; font-size: 13px !important; padding: 0px 0px 1px !important; position: static;">birth certificate</span> to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the April 2007 election, Obanikoro is ineligible to present himself for nomination.</div>

According to them, official records, such as his Nigerian and diplomatic passports, show that Obanikoro was born on July 28, 1960, but he allegedly falsified it to July 28, 1954.</div>

The plaintiffs – Michael Ogunsuada, Suleiman Saheed and Wasiu Odusan – are seeking a declaration that Obanikoro stands disqualified from aspiring for nomination in PDP’s governorship primaries or that of any other party for the purposes of contesting either in next year’s election or subsequent polls by virtue of his antecedents.<o:p></o:p></div>

They prayed for an order of perpetual injunction restraining him from participating in PDP’s governorship primaries scheduled for December 8.<o:p></o:p></div>

They also sought an order restraining the party from nominating Obanikoro to INEC to contest next year’s governorship election in Lagos or any other election in Nigeria.<o:p></o:p></div>

The plaintiffs, who joined Obanikoro, INEC and PDP as respondents, further sought a restraining order against INEC from accepting Obanikoro’s nomination by PDP for any election.</div>
