Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is delighted with the form of Cesc Fabregas in the early weeks of the 2014-15 Premier League season.
The Portuguese boss has explained just why the Spain international midfielder has been one of the best players in the English top flight so far this season.
‘I am not surprised because he did not need any adjustments’, Marca quotes him as saying. ‘He has played in the Premier League for years. When he decided to come to Chelsea, I felt great joy’.
Fabregas was on the books of Premier League giants Arsenal from 2003 until 2011. For a large chunk of that period, the 27-year-old was one of the best players in England and left for his old club Barcelona in the summer of 2011 as a world-class midfielder.
The Spaniard enjoyed three good years at Camp Nou, but he was deemed surplus to requirements by new Barca coach Luis Enrique and was sold to Chelsea for a reported transfer fee of £27 million.
Upon his return to the Premier League, Fabregas has been a star for the Blues, as the stats from his first three matches exhibit.
