Boko Haram militants today raided a cement facility owned by French
group Lafarge, stealing some vehicles.

According to one Samail Adnan a resident of Ashaka town who spoke with
AFP, the sect members arrived their town shouting and shooting
sporadically

"The gunmen kept shouting 'Allahu Akbar' and firing guns haphazardly.
They went into the cement factory and took away some vehicles,"

The militants who arrived the town around 7am through Bajoga, raided
banks, burnt down a police station and some government buildings. The
military was able to repel their attacks in Bajoga, pushing them to
Ashaka where they gained entrance into the cement factory and stole some
vehicles.

A day after the police officer who killed Eric Garner (a black man) in a
choke hold was cleared by a grand jury, white people used Twitter to
highlight police racial bias in the US...confessing to crimes they
committed that police let them get away with. This is in protest of
police brutality on blacks in America. They used the hash-tag #‎criming while white and it's been trending since yesterday.

Jason Ross, a writer for The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon first
tweeted his
own experience and called on others to share their stories. You won't
believe some of the things white people get away with. Find some
confessions after the cut..
The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) at its
395th meeting held yesterday, December 3, 2014 reviewed recent national
developments as they affect the party.

Among others, the NWC deliberated on the court case instituted against
the National Chairman of the Party, Ahmed Adamu Mu'azu by the former
National Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur.

The NWC reasoned that for instituting a claim and counter claim in suit
FHC/ABJ /821/2014; Gurin vs PDP & 3 others without first exploring
and exhausting the party's internal mechanism of redress and for
attempting to stop the forthcoming National Convention to nominate the
party's presidential candidate as well as regularize the position of the
National Chairman and other members of the National Working Committee
is unacceptable.

The NWC hereby suspends Dr. Bamanga Tukur and Aliyu Abuba Gurin for one
month and refers them to the National Disciplinary Committee for
infringing on section 58(1)(a)( b)( h)( l) of the PDP Constitution 2012(
as amended)
2015: Jonathan Sends 7 PDP Governors To Beg Obasanjo

It is not easy to get President Olusegun Obasanjo to work for incumbent
President Goodluck Jonathan again after he was deceived in 2011 to
believe that Jonathan won't contest in 2015 if he was supported to
become the PDP presidential flag-bearer for the then 2011 general
elections.

But from all indications, President Jonathan want to have his cake and
still eat same. He send about seven PDP governors to the Abeokuta
hilltop residence of ex-President Obasanjo to beg him to forgive and
work for his re-election in the critical 2015 presidential election
against the APC.

Two of the governors, Liyel Imoke of Cross River State and Emmanuel
Uduaghan of Delta State, arrived Obasanjo’s residence at 12.55pm and
swiftly moved into the house with strong faces.

The identity of some of the governors could not be confirmed as the
registration numbers of their cars were covered. But a close aide of
Obasanjo confirmed that all the governors were from the PDP and that
they came to plead with him not to abandon Jonathan now that his support
is highly needed.

In a chat with PM News, Obasanjo's aide said, “Throughout last night
Baba Obasanjo met with us to discuss the visit by the PDP governors and
the position to take. Baba pointedly told us that he remains a staunch
member of PDP and that he was not fighting anybody but cannot accept an
indicted fellow to be his leader.”

The governors were said to have begged Obasanjo to stop supporting the
APC indirectly as his support is said to be giving the leading
opposition party some high confidence of victory in 2015.

A source told Ogbongegist.Com that Obasanjo was just smiling all through while they were speaking.

This crowd funding initiative remains the first of its kind use of technology to significantly step change the process of election funding in Nigeria and Africa in general. Speaking at the launch of this initiative, the crowd funding effort uses BSO registration scratch cards and the contributor’s mobile phone to raise funds for the Buhari’s campaign effort. The electorate can now freely support the Buhari Campaign by registering or by a direct donation of N100. This can be achieved by simply purchasing the support card and sending a text to the BSO following the instructions at the back of the card.

Speaking at the event, the program coordinator BSO – Mr. Ibrahim buttressed the fact that the use of this technology delivers accountability and transparency as the candidate will now have to win the hearts of the electorate with his policies to get their funding.
