Something is wrong somewhere! The House-to-House campaign group, which 
in 2011 helped push President Goodluck Jonathan into power, has finally 
turned its back on him and threw its weight behind his main challenger, 
General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 
2015 presidential election.<br />
<br />
The group cited Jonathan’s poor performance and inability to check 
corruption among political and office holders for its decision.<br />
<br />
The National Coordinator of the House-to-House group, Kunle Ehinlanwo, 
who is a son of a former PDP senator, dropped the bombshell on Tuesday 
at a large gathering in Abuja.<br />

He said that the initial idea of the organization was to support the 
re-election of President Jonathan in the belief that continuity would 
better secure Nigeria’s democracy considering its current stage on the 
democratic ladder. But upon deeper review and careful analysis of the 
situation in the country, he explained, his group had come up 
unconvinced with the performance of the Jonathan administration. <br />
<br />
“We have consequently decided to throw our support in favour of General 
Muhammadu Buhari, the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives 
Congress (APC) who we are convinced is a better man for the challenging 
job,” he said. <br />
<br />
Ehinlanwo declared that the House-to-House Initiative will henceforth 
campaign vigorously to canvass massive votes for the election of General
 Buhari and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, ahead of the next 
general election across the 36 states of the Federation, the FCT and the
 774 Local Government areas in 2015.<br />
<br />
He explained: “For the record, our organization is engineered and 
powered by concerned citizens and patriotic volunteers throughout 
Nigeria to achieve these common objectives. We are concerned about the 
future of this great nation buffeted by bad leadership and we believe 
the time for a collective action towards a purposeful and responsible 
government which shares the wishes and aspirations of distressed 
Nigerians is now. We have therefore taken the bull by the horn to do 
honest bit in the quest for change.”<br />
<br />
What is happening to the Goodluck Jonathan brand that was the toast of many in 2011?<br />
<br />
He revealed the aims and objectives of the organization, among others, to be:<br />
<br />
<br />
(1) To mobilize Nigerians, particularly the youths, to ensure victory 
for General Muhammadu Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo in the presidential
 election.<br />
<br />
<br />
(2) To properly educate Nigerians on the imperatives of electing the APC
 presidential flag bearer in the 2015 presidential election to achieve a
 lasting progressive CHANGE.<br />
<br />
<br />
(3) To assiduously canvass the election of General Muhammadu Buhari and 
indeed a necessity to right the debilitating condition in our nation 
today, thereby ensuring justice, peace, unity and prosperity among the 
Nigerians people.<br />

(4) To work in harmony with the National Leadership of the APC and all 
other organizations, including socio-economic, political and volunteer 
formations to propagate the ideals of a new era of possibilities.<br />

Ehinlawon dismissed the challenge posed by the incumbency factor in 
Nigerian politics, saying that APC would triumph because the Nigerian 
people can see beyond the antics of the rudderless Jonathan 
administration, particularly the desperate quest for power that can be 
observed in its actions and activities in recent times. <br />

He stressed that Nigerians earnestly yearn for change and that it is 
becoming very clear that no amount of intimidation or corruption of the 
electoral process will change that tide. The voices of the people will 
be heard, loud and clear, via their massive votes at the election, he

Fashola Offers Free Bus Ride On Christmas & New Year Days

<strong>                       The Lagos State Government, through operators of the Bus 
Rapid Transit (BRT) and Bus Franchise Scheme (BFS), will provide free 
bus ride to Lagosians on December 25, 2014 and January 1, 2015 
respectively.</strong><br /><br />
According to Daily Independent, Mr. Dayo Mobereola, the Managing 
Director of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), said 
the free bus ride would enable Lagosians move around the city smoothly.                      <br />

He noted that the free bus service, which started in 2008, has 
assisted in reducing congestion and accident on the roads during the 
festive periods, adding that the free bus services to be provided by the
 First BRT Cooperative on the Mile 12 to CMS Bus Rapid Transit system 
corridor and the Ikotun-Igando-Iyana-Ipaja-Maryland Bus Franchise Scheme
 corridor, would run between 7.00am and 10.00pm.<br />

He also said the First BRT Cooperative, operator of the Bus Rapid 
Transit (BRT), would offer free services on Mile 12 – CMS, Mile 12 – 
Obalende, Ajah to National Stadium, Ajah – Obalende, Mile 12 – National 
Stadium, Mile 2 – National Stadium, Oshodi – Obalende and Oshodi – 
National Stadium routes. <br /><br />
On the Bus Franchise Scheme (BFS) corridor, he said free services 
would be offered on the Ikotun – Ikeja – Maryland, Iyana Ipaja – 
Maryland, Ikotun – Iyana Ipaja, Igando – Iyana Ipaja, Igando – Ikeja, 
and Igando – Maryland routes.<br /><br />
Mobereola appealed to those driving, to drive with care and observe all traffic rules.<br />

He also reminded road users of the existence of the Lagos Traffic Law
 and warned against disobeying the law under the guise of the public 
holiday.<br /><br />

 past weekend, gave out bags of rice, salt, vegetable oil, T-shirts and 
cash to many residents of the state.</strong><br />

The gifts were courtesy of the APC’s national leader’s self-named 
foundation. Punch Metro reports that thousands of people converged on 
the Idowu Taylor Street, Victoria Island, of the foundation to receive 
their Christmas gifts.<br />

left with nothing during this period. I try to put something in the 
envelope, to provide succour for them on a day when everybody is 
rejoicing about the birth of the Saviour. That is the joy I derive from

A Special Adviser to the former Governor, Mr. Femi Oyatolu, said over
 2,000 bags of rice had been distributed as of 12pm on Saturday. He 
opined that the exercise was not politically-motivated. <br />

He said:<b><em>“We have distributed over 2,000 bags of rice of 12.5kg. 
We have also distributed vegetable oil, T-shirts, salts and cash for the
 needy. It is not politically-motivated because we have been doing this 
for the past five years. It is a Christmas outreach but we also do it 
during Salah as well. It is just a way of giving back to society and 
putting smiles on people’s faces. It is not stomach infrastructure 
because it cuts across all political divides. It is not restricted to 
any group. </em></b><br />

<b><em>Apart from giving out gift items, we also do free medicals for people and also pay school fees of indigent students.”</em></b><br /><br />
It will be recalled that Tinubu recently revealed the reason why he 
withdrew his candidacy for the position of running mate with Buhari for

According to the eye witness: Drama happened inside first bank at osapa 
london branch this morning. I was inside this bank to withdraw some 
amount of money. Inside this bank there was a very huge crowd and a very long queue.<br />

This guy came in to deposit some 
cash (55 thousand naira) but when he saw the crowd he didn't want to 
queue and went to the front to approach a lady who is around no ten on 
the queue and begged her to help in paying his cash.He gave the already 
filled teller to that lady and the cash after standing for about two to 
three minutes.                    <br />

He went to sit on a seat very close to the queue. Few minutes later, he 
really enjoy the coolness of the air condition and surrendered to 
sleep.When it was about three people before that lady, she looked back 
and discovered that that guy is already sleeping. She just told the next
 person that she is coming and left the banking hall through the exit 
door.By the time this guy woke up, she was gone. It was like a dream. He
 asked the people in front if they saw a lady in green top and they 
reply she left few seconds ago. He ran outside but the lady was no where
 to be found. He was outside the bank shouting my boss money.

Rintu Karmakar, 60, flew into a rage when he discovered wife Monu, 
55, hadn't prepared a meal or done any of the house work and was fast 
asleep in bed.<br />

He told police that he first tried to cut her head off with an axe 
while she slept but that had failed so instead he beheaded her with a 
scythe<br />

He told detectives: 'I spent all day working and when I got home once again she was asleep in bed after having drunk too much,
