A furious housewife, whose husband has allegedly infected her with a deadly HIV virus, is asking the court for divorce and N40 million damages payout, Kano State.
Earlier this year a millionaire, Mansur Musa, appeared before Upper Shariah court at Sabon Gari, Kano State, for infecting his wife, whose name is not disclosed, with HIV. However, the case was later transferred to Upper Shariah Court, at Kasuwar Kurmi, Kano for further proceedings.
During the latest trial the aggrieved woman once againg asked for divorce and requested N40 million compensation. The accused offered N2 million but this sum of money was rejected by a counsel to the applicant, Barrister Bashir Dalhatu.
It seems the story will be settled amicably and out of court, as the defense counsel, Aminu Muhammad Usman, offered to enter into reconciliation by both parties and, surprisingly, the complainant accepted the proposal. The case was adjourned for another date
