are confused and concerned and are leaning toward spending their 
hard-earned money on a magic garment that is being peddled as if it can 
solve all that ail them, only to be sorely disappointed. <br />

mirror and wants to be smaller. I have a huge problem with this type of 
women. Whenever I meet people who pretend to be what they<br />    are 
not, it gets under my skin. When you present yourself as something, 
you’re asking me to trust you are exactly what you say you are. Why 
would you then abuse the trust you asked for with the goal of winning my
 heart? That is not fair.  <br /><br />    A friend of mine introduced me to
 a very hot chic at a bar in Ikeja and after hours of hanging out and 
getting to know each other, she followed me home. All I could think 
about was what she’d look like under all those tight clothes, but when 
she finally grunted her way out of those really tight jeans and her body
 began to spread in all directions, I suddenly had a headache and didn’t
 feel so well and I gave her cab fare home. <br /><br />    I mean, is this 
body magic thing for-real? It is ridiculous. To think that someone would
 honestly wear it instead of putting the time and effort into actually 
losing the extra pounds should be a personal embarrassment. It’s really 
gone past pathetic. The extreme to which our women are going to capture 
an image of beauty that is neither holistic, healthy nor attractive is 
crazy. It seems so strange that some ladies complain about not being 
able to find sincere, honest and real men when everything about them is 
synthetic, processed and unreal.  <br /><br />    Ladies, let me sell you a 
clue. If you find a man, any man, who seems to be attracted to women who
 have certain physical attributes like fake hair, fake nails, fake round
 bum-bum, fake flat stomach, fake eyelashes and fake breasts, odds are 
he’s a fake man. So if that’s what you’re looking for (fake men), then 
that’s cool. Leave the ‘real’ men to the ‘real’ women. If my girl had to
 undress and all of a sudden picked up 8 to 10 pounds merely by taking 
off her corset, the attraction would have ended immediately. Because it 
is a fraud and I don’t get myself involved with fraudulent people.  <br /><br />   
 What worries me most is, how do you as a lady guard your emotions from 
the reaction you will inevitably receive when that look of shock and 
disdain appears on the face of your man after he sees those parts you’ve
 been hiding under that body magic? If you find yourselves that 
undesirable, why would you expect a man to find you desirable? <br /><br />   
 Let’s look at this thing called body magic and the falsity around it. 
It makes you feel you have dropped three dress sizes right? Which 
basically means you’ll shave off about three inches of fat in ten 
minutes, firm up your abs, and boom, you’ve lost all the extra weight. 
Yes girlfriend, a body magic can reshape you. Wearing a corset can 
change your bust-line, by raising the breasts upwards and shaping them, 
flattening the stomach, and improving posture. However, these effects 
are only temporary and will be lost on removing the corset. Indeed, 
excessive corset wearing has been claimed to weaken certain muscles, 
making it more difficult to maintain your shape.  <br /><br />    Another 
thing a body magic can’t do is make a mound of fat disappear. Using a 
body magic for this purpose does nothing except shift mass fat into a 
place it originally was not supposed to be. Think about it, if fat was 
supposed to be buried deeper into your body, then guess what? God would 
have put it there. It’s stored on the outermost parts of your frame for a
 reason. Squeezing into a body magic and hoping it’s going to help 
permanently hide whatever flaws your body may have is a joke. And for 
Christ’ sake, the thing is so uncomfortable and tight, that it makes you
 unable to breathe or ease yourself when pressed. <br /><br />    I am 
really sad that our ladies don’t talk about healthy eating or exercise 
anymore. Body magic is a temporary fix at best and deceitful for that 
matter. Ladies, let’s be truthful here, if you met a guy who was wearing
 a muscle garment and once he took his shirt off, he was all flab 
underneath, won’t you be very disappointed?  <br /><br />    Don’t get me 
wrong, I don’t have a problem with a woman using the garment in the 
process of losing weight and wanting to look toned down after 
childbirth. What I have issues with is the fact that we in this country 
are all about the quick fix. I think we should know that looking good is
 not just about hiding the body fat. <br /><br />    And wait a minute, I 
know some of you may actually think that you don’t have to stop eating 
your favourite fatty foods, because your body magic will force you right
 back in shape. You forget the fact that those foods are unhealthy and 
lack proper nutrition for the body. You also forget that those are the 
same foods that got you in a physically unfit figure in the first place.
 Forget the fact that those foods aren’t going to help you maintain that
 figure. Should you magically obtain it, you don’t want to sacrifice and
 take pains to exercise. Doesn’t it surprise you that the garment is 
called body magic, like abracadabra? It can give you all you want and 
you don’t have to sacrifice at all. My dear, nothing works that easy. <br /><br />   
 Why not work harder to achieve a permanent figure you are craving for? 
It must be hard, or down right depressing to walk around looking fine 
most of the day, and then having to take off the fine body suit and look
 at the undesired one at night. It’s like you are trying to fool 
yourself and others. Eventually, you’re going to have to face the ‘fat’.
 Remember when you take off that body magic, gravity takes over! And no 
man wants to buy an illusion. We all want the real thing. It’s just sad 
that some Nigerian women are so hell bent on instant gratification. It

from an impending danger, since there was no security in the school and immediately they started assembling us in a <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD5">single</span> file and marching us to the bush.”<br />

It was at that point that some of the girls started having hunches but 
it was too late to do anything because the invaders, armed to the teeth 
and dressed in army uniform, were barking orders that any girl who 
attempted to play games would be killed and it was obvious that they

Three girls were saved by divine intervention. According to Saratu, two 
Christians and one Muslim who arrived the park late and wanted to play a
 fast one. The insurgents asked them their religion and one of the 
Christians said she was a Muslim. The Muslim identified herself but the 
third girl didn’t deny her religion. She said she was a Christian. They 
asked her to change her religion or be killed; she said she would rather
 die than change her religion.</div>

<b>Boko Haram:</b> Didn’t we ask you not to go to English School?</div>

<b>Christian Girl:</b> I was born here in Chibok and have never been to 
any Taboc School. I was born into a Christian home and will remain a 
Christian.</div>

So the three girls were asked to lie down and that they were going to 
kill them, beginning with the unrepentant Christian. Without displaying 
any emotion, <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD11">the Christian</span> girl was the first to lie down saying they should go ahead and kill her.</div>

And a debate among the Boko Haram men, with some of them saying they 
should kill the kafir (infidel) while others argued against it. So she 
was asked to get up. We were all still in the bush where the vehicles 
were. The Boko Haram men continued their argument as to whether to kill 
or not to kill the Christian. Soon the vehicles the men brought were 
full and there was no space for the three girls. So they were asked to 
go. So the three of them left and started heading home.</div>

“We trekked the long distance into the bush where they had parked their 
lorries and other vehicles. Soon after, the vehicles began a voyage into
 the forest. We were five that were locked up in the booth of a car and 
we had no means of knowing how long; the journey took. We were just 
there until God knows how long; then they came to a final stop. While we
 were moving, the five of us were praying and hoping that people or the 
army would pursue and catch up with them. Eventually we entered Sambisa.
 When we entered Sambisa, we were given bread and water and told to eat.
 Of course, the girls were too angry to accept the offer of food. So, 
they refused to eat. The men attempted to persuade them to eat.<br />
“On arrival, we <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD2">discovered</span> that 
an earlier batch had arrived the same destination that looked like the 
camp of militants. As soon as we arrived, Comfort came up with an idea 
that we look for a convenient place to ease ourselves. We told the men 
that we needed to ease ourselves and they allowed the three of us to go.
 After we walked some distance from the camp, Comfort said we should 
make haste and run away.<br />
“The third girl, a Muslim, with fear written all over her, said we 
should not run away when we had not eaten and weak; but Comfort insisted
 that that was the only chance we had to escape. She added that she 
would not die in this forest”.</blockquote>
 Saratu followed her while the third girl returned to the camp.<br />

“We kept walking away from Sambisa forest. As we progressed in the 
escape bid, we met one man. He didn’t say anything to us. We didn’t know
 what he was doing inside the forest but we were too afraid to find out.
 Later, we met another woman who also didn’t talk to us.<br />
“Eventually, we came to one village and met one Fulani man who gave us 
water and food. We were too hungry and thirsty and so we ate. He 
directed us where to follow to our village and so we continued the 
journey until we met two men . The men were kind; gave us water and 
clothes to change the ones we wore. Initially, we refused because we 
were afraid. We kept going, but one of the men followed us, saying they 
were only trying to help.<br />
“As we went on, we met another man who told us to come and sleep in his 
house because it was night already and we entered the house, believing 
God had planted angels on our path to freedom. We entered and slept in 
his house. The man woke us up at about 3:00 a.m. and told us that the 
village people were wicked and if they found out we were there, they 
would kill us. He directed us where to follow, warning that if we saw 
any <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD6">motorcycle</span> or vehicle, we should enter the bush.<br />
“He insisted that we should avoid being noticed by anybody. The man told
 us that when we hear a call to prayers, we should stop wherever we are 
until the prayer is finished. We saw a man and asked him direction to 
our village and he told us. We continued until we arrived Chibok where 
we met the army personnel. After narrating our story, they took us to <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD9">the barracks</span>
 where we took our bath and were given food to eat”. Altogether, they 
spent five days between the time they were captured and the time they 
returned home.</blockquote>

“Like Saratu and Comfort, he also decided that there was no way the 
night would meet us in that thick forest. So, we followed the example of
 our two colleagues, pretending we needed to ease ourselves and, after 
much pleading, they allowed us thinking that we would be afraid and 
return in no time because of the fearful nature of the forest. We walked
 a long distance and always making sure none of the men was trailing us.<br />
“All through the night, we continued our journey to freedom. We went 
without food and water for several days, hoping we would see persons who
 would be sympathetic to our plight.<br />
“But no help came until dawn, the <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD7">next day</span>,
 when a Good Samaritan who heard our story, out of pity, gave us bread 
and water. He told us to be careful because the insurgents were 
operating in the neighborhood, seeking who to kidnap. With renewed 
strength, we continued even when we didn’t know where we were going.</blockquote>

without clean up and any change of clothes, they eventually arrived

A Magistrate Court sitting in Abuja has discharged the Africa 
independent Television (AIT) journalist, Mr. Amaechi Anakwe, who was 
arrested and detained for over eight hours on Thursday on the order of 
AIG in charge of Zone 7, Joseph Mbu, over an allegation of defamation of
 character.</div>

When the matter was called on Friday, the defence counsel, John Kalu, 
urged the court to oblige him a copy of the first information to enable 
him know the offence Amaechi was being charged for.<br />
<br />
Prosecution counsel, Chijoke Okezie, in an oral application told the 
court that the plaintiff had withdrawn the case and that the accused 
person was brought to his office for further clarification.<br />
<br />
The application was not opposed by the defence counsel, rather, he 
begged the court for an order preventing the plaintiff or its privies 
from further harassing or arresting Amaechi.<br />
<br />
In a short ruling delivered by the Chief Magistrate, Anthony Ogboi, the court discharged the accused.<br />
