Being A Star Surprises Me —– Says Adekola Tijani Popular known as Golugo

Yoruba comic actor, Adekola Tijani Aka Golugo has revealed that he never knew that he could emerge as one of the most sought-after new bred of Yoruba actors due to the uncertainty that thrilled his blossom career during his hard days before he finally escaped to the fame land.

The star actor whose special talents in role interpretation have earned him accolades and plaques for outstanding appearances in movies alongside his siamese twin brother, Sanyeri, explained how he joined a theatre group and how he met the big shot in the industry.

In his recent TV interview with Bukola Black, the presenter of popular TV entertainment programme, Larin Osere, Kamilu kompo fondly refers to by section of fans disclosed that his success so far in the big screen business is not without difficulties but was able to followed his passion and not believing that it could be an escape root for him.

According to him, “I began my acting career in 1991 with a theatre group. It was difficult for me because my parents did not support me for the reason that actors are not serious beings. In 1995, I and sanyeri moved down to Lagos to see some established theatre groups like Odunfa caucus, Fadeyi Caucus and late Alade Aromire because they were the groups in vogue producing films. While in Lagos, we met late lekinson who later introduced us to Ajala Jalingo and the rest is now history. But I thank God because I couldn’t imagine myself as star”.
Tijani has featured and produced classic Yoruba flicks including Kamilu Kompo, Jonathan, Alapade, Muniru ati amabali and many more.
