The
General Aviation Terminal GAT of Murtala Muhammed Airport, MMA, Lagos
was thrown into confusion yesterday August 29 when Chris Bassey who
claimed to be an actor alleged that his girlfriend, Mary Ogechi who
was onboard an Arik Air Enugu – Lagos bound flight has been infected
with Ebola virus.
On
landing at MMA, the Enugu based nurse, other passengers onboard and
crew members on the flight were tested by a medical team from Port
Health Services, Arik and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria,
FAAN, which later proved to be negative.
Ogechi alleged that when Bassey got wind of her new found love, he came to her residence on Thursday with the intention to pass the night with her, which she refused him. She says Bassey threatened to deal with her after he got to know that she was on her way to Lagos.
Ogechi
was however taken in a yellow van belonging to FAAN by Aviation
Security, AVSEC, officials to Port Health Services located in the
airport for further test.
