27 people, including the wife of Cameroon's Vice PM Amadou Ali, 10
 Chinese nationals and others who were taken hostage by Boko Haram men between May and July this year have been 
released. <br />

Their release was made known in a statement released this morning by Cameroon's Minister of Information, Issa Bakary<br />

"The 27 hostages kidnapped on May 16 2014 at Waza and on <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_1981741909" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">July 27th</span></span>
 at Kolofata were given this night to Cameroonian authorities. Ten 
Chinese, the wife of the Vice Prime Minister, Amadou Ali, the Lamido of 
Kolofata, and members of their families kidnapped with them are safe"

made possible through negotiations or if it was a voluntary act by the sect

A fatal accident occurred around 9.30am today along Wuse Market bridge 
in Abuja, leaving one person dead and three others severely injured. The
 cause of the accident is not
 yet known but many believe speeding could have been a factor.<br />

the injured have been rushed to National Hospital Garki, Abuja for

18 year old Kevin Jazrael Davis (pictured left) has been sentenced to 
life in prison for killing his own mother. According to reports, Kevin 
attacked his mother (pictured right) with a hammer, striking her 20 
times on the head, on March 26th 2014 at their home and then had s*x 
with her corpse.<br />

According to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, in a police video showed 
to jurors during his trial, Kevin confessed to having violent and s*xual
 fantasies involving women, 
including his own mother and sister. He attacked his mother when they 
were alone and turned himself in to police the next day.<br />
<br />
Kevin, who told police that he was not insane and knew what he was 
doing, said he put his hand inside her mother's head to feel her brain 
and then lost his v*rginity to her corpse. He was sentenced to life in 
prison on Wednesday October 8th
