youth corper named Odachi Abah, who was allegedly assaulted by a female 
police officer.  Her sister, Ene Abah tweeted about the incident 
frequently yesterday, and so </span><b style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Bellanaija </b><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">reached out to her to share her story.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">“On the 8th of October 2014 I got assaulted by a Policewoman. This is what happened. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">On my way 
home from Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Lagos State, Nigeria with a friend Maduka 
Benson after my NYSC clearance our vehicle (Honda accord) entered a hole
 which pulled part of the car bumper. The policewoman standing in front 
controlling the traffic kept shouting at us. And so Maduka who was 
driving, tried to explain to her that the car bumper was stuck, but she 
insisted that we should get out of the way. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,Times New Roman,serif;">A man told 
my friend not to move, warning that if he did, the entire bumper would 
be ripped from the car. He then crossed over to our side of the road, 
and helped us fix the bumper so we could move on.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,Times New Roman,serif;">The 
policewoman named, Justina, walked towards the window, facing where I 
was sitting and shouted in broken English “SEE AS YOU FAT LIKE MUMU FULL
 THE MOTOR.” My friend and I came out from the car asking the woman what
 we had done wrong to be insulted in that manner.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">She kept 
shouting and raising hell. I was wearing my NYSC uniform at the time, so
 I walked towards her. Surprisingly, she pushed me back and pulled out 
her weapon (a baton) and hit me on my face three times.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia,Times New Roman,serif;">The first 
one knocked my glasses off my face while the rest hit parts of my face 
which resulted in instant bleeding. I bled for a long time while 
searching for the woman until I clearly heard her colleagues telling her
 to run and hide.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,Times New Roman,serif;">The police 
woman took to their advice and ran away. Other policewomen suddenly 
surfaced at the scene and one of them started calling my friend an armed
 robber for no reason.We asked them which station they were from, but 
they refused to tell us.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Maduka then 
decided to block the entire road causing traffic, in order to force the 
police woman to reveal what police station they were from. Finally, one 
of the female police officers told us that they were from Makinde police
 station, in Mafoluku, Oshodi.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia,Times New Roman,serif;">A few 
minutes later a police Hilux vehicle arrived at the scene telling us to 
get back inside our car so we could go to Makinde police station. A 
police man sat at the back seat in our car, while the rest remained in 
their vehicle , driving in front of us to Makinde police station.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia,Times New Roman,serif;">When we got 
to the station my friend asked for the station officer (S.O) – but they 
said he wasn’t around. My friend and I tried to explain the situation to
 the two policewomen we met at the station. Suddenly, one of them 
started telling my friend to reduce his voice, saying that we should 
keep the incident a secret.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia,Times New Roman,serif;">One of the 
policemen who came to the scene where I was assaulted, approached  us 
and told us that his boss, who is a female, would like to see  us in her
 office. When we got to the office, she summoned the policewoman that 
assaulted me over the phone and also called another police man named 
David to investigate the matter.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">My friend narrated the incident to the police boss in detail.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia,Times New Roman,serif;">Justina, the
 policewoman who assaulted me finally came in for questioning. Their 
boss proceeded to ask her to explain what had happened. The policewoman 
then began to lie, saying that Maduka and I had beat her up, and that we
 took her police cap and removed buttons from her uniform.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia,Times New Roman,serif;">After 
Justina’s stories, her superior could tell that she was lying. And so 
she ordered David to put Justina in a police cell. Afterwards we  wrote 
our statements.</span><br />

boss then begged us to  forgive Justina. She then took our phone numbers
 and promised to call us when they need us. We agreed and left the 
station.</span><br />

intend to take proper legal action against Justina because she may have 
been brutalizing others and getting away with it.  We want her to face 
the consequences of her actions.”</span><br />

 the little girl said her relatives came after her after one of her

called me and started asking me questions whether I was a witch and why I
 killed my uncle. I told them that I did not know anything about what 
they were talking about. They started beating me. They hit me with 
cutlasses. They cut my buttocks with knives. After the beating became

lost consciousness. Later, I woke up to find myself in a bush. I have 
been living on the streets since last month without food and shelter.”

Odiong. Both of us have been living on the streets since then,” he said.</div>

There was pandemonium at the National Campaign Office of the PDP in 
Maitama, Abuja on Thursday as thugs and politicians suspected to be 
loyalists of the Minister of State for Education, Mr. Nyesom Wike, beat 
his suspected opponents.<br />
<br />
Wike is among those aspiring to be the governorship candidate of the party in Rivers State in 2015.<br />
<br />
The thugs, who were in their tens, used dangerous weapons, such as 
stick, bottles and stones to scare away members of the party from the 
state from gaining entrance into the building, where members of the 
National Integration Committee, South-South zone, were meeting.<br />
<br />
The meeting was aimed at settling grievances among members of the ruling
 party in the zone and Thursday was allotted to hear the grievances of 
those aggrieved in Rivers State. But only Wike and his supporters were 
allowed to enter the venue of the meeting.<br />
<br />
The top politicians who were beaten and prevented entry into the meeting are:<br />

Resources under former Governor Peter Odili; Mr. Lolo Ibieneye; Prof. 
Israel Owate, Dr. Sowaribi Tolofari, Mr. Sara Egbe and Chief Bekinbo 
Sobrekon.<br />
<br />
According to <a href="http://www.punchng.com/news/rivers-pdp-rivals-exchange-blows-in-abuja/" target="_blank">Punch</a>, some journalists were also harassed while others had either their cameras damaged or their tape recorders seized.<br />
<br />
Dick, who is a legal adviser to the Network for Defence of Democracy and
 Good Governance, suffered an injury near his left eye as a result of 
the beating.<br />
<br />
While the thugs were beating him, policemen attached to the venue of the
 meeting refused to intervene, as one of them said they were handicapped
 because of the personalities involved.<br />
<br />
However, the policemen joined the thugs to chase away rival politicians 
who were said not to be members of Wike’s Grassroots Democratic 
Initiatives.<br />
<br />
Dick, who spoke with our correspondent after the incident, said, “I came
 to defend the petition we sent to the committee, but see what happened 
here today.<br />
<br />
“I have been beaten by thugs and these thugs were joined by the 
policemen attached to someone who wants to be a governor of my state. We
 shall wait to see.”<br />
<br />
Ibineneye also said that he was shoved and beaten, but warned that the 
PDP in the state would soon explode, adding that what happened in Abuja 
would have been a child’s play if the meeting had held in the state.<br />
<br />
He said that out of 22 people who brought petitions to the committee, only four people were allowed inside.<br />
<br />
Another aggrieved member, who was also harassed and sent out through the
 gate of the building, Sara-Igbe insisted that there was no way another 
Ikwerre person would succeed the current governor of the state, Mr. 
Rotimi Amaechi.<br />
<br />
Sara-Igbe, who is from Aku-Toru Local Government Area of the state, 
said, “They are violating the party’s constitution in the state because 
the party recognises zoning of offices in the state and everywhere.<br />
<br />
“I’m a foundation member of the party in the state. These people went 
through the back door and brought a two-man executive. Since these two 
men came, they have been violating the party’s constitution. The party 
should listen to us or the party would fail in the state.”</div>

As you read this, a pastor in Enugu State has been arrested by the 
Police for allegedly impr*gnating a female member of his ministry and 
went a step further to force the girl to ab*rt the pregnancy.<br />
<br />
The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who
 confirmed the alleged crime committed by the Pastor, said:<br />

“A pastor in charge of Hospital Chapel Ministry located at Obollo Eke in
 Udenu LGA of Enugu State and identified as Pastor Friday Onuh has said 
that he never impr*gnated one Miss Favour Onah and took her to a patent 
medicine dealer to ab*rt the baby as alleged by the parents of the 
girl. </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
“The pastor had allegedly impr*gnated the girl, a worshipper in his 
church and took her to a patent medicine dealer at Ikem in Isiuzo Local 
Government Area of the state. </blockquote>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
“It was reported that severe complications resulted from the ab*rtion and that she is currently lying ill at a hospital.”</blockquote>

about issues that are happening today in our country so why is he asking
 for  champagne and mowet. Initially the song was entitled Boko Haram 
but we had issues with the title so we have to change it to Anuboko 
because the promo was not working out. However, the lyrics remain the

Well, I am just going to be doing some experimental on my new singles 
like the new stuff you call new school; I mean what the youth are used 
to now which is champagne and mowet (Laughter) oh yes! However you will

family. I didn’t grow up like a normal kid. I am not one of those who 
can proudly say that he went to school. In fact, I have never been in a 
private school. I was a pupil in schools like elementary or Akara 
School. Then we carried something like a piece of flat wood called slate
 and played all day. I am not proud of the fact that I never went to a 
proper school. However, on the flip side that has contributed in making 
me who I am today; it has made me a stronger person. The reason why I am
 saying I am not proud of it is because I need to send a message to 
others leaving in the same conditions today. I want them to know that 
they need to hustle and get out of that life by getting an education. 
That is what I mean when I say I am not really proud of my past life. 
However I am proud of who I am today and what life has thought me.</b></blockquote>
