The cocoa
tree pictured above was spotted somewhere around Ikeja, Lagos. It may not be
news weeks ago, but following the recent global fall in oil prices, I guess this
should make headline news. Someone said the tree is beckoning on us to go back
to our drawing board – Agriculture!
We
were known to be the world highest exporter of cocoa, until we were r*ped by the
lure of oil. I am not a naysayer, but we must not wait to wake up to a complete
oil crash before we do something. As my mama dey always talk… a word is enough for
the wise…
