troops insist that the man pictured above popularly known as Abubakar 
Shekau has indeed been killed.</span></div>

While the Defence Head Quarters is yet to release an official statement 
about the killing of Boko Haram 'spokes person' and commander identified
 Abubakar Shekau, there are more and more reports giving credence to the
 fact that indeed, the insurgent's front man may have met his waterloo 
in the hands of Nigerian forces.<br />
In a fresh report by <a href="http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/09/boko-haram-leader-abubakar-shekau-killed-investigations/" target="_blank">Vanguard</a>,
 details of how Boko Haram's kingpin-notorious for appearing and 
boasting in videos-was captured and killed has now been revealed. Read

Details of how Abubakar Shekau, the impostor and leader of the Boko 
Haram terrorist group lost his left in a shootout with Nigerian troops 
in Konduga on Wednesday Sept. 17 emerged yesterday with military sources
 disclosing that he met his waterloo in an ambush reminiscent of the 
type the sect had been using to h*ck down Nigerian troops.</blockquote>

It is gathered that when the first attack on Konduga whereby hundreds of
 insurgents were taken unawares and killed after over seven hours of 
fighting and several of their colleagues, arms and ammunition captured, 
the military commanders strategically <b>urged his </b><b>captured members to send a message to Shekau that they (insurgents) have routed the troops.</b><br />

Before the captured insurgents were urged to make the contact and 
deliver the message, the military commanders had promised them that 
their cooperation would play a role in the level of punishment to be 
meted to them after the battle hence they felt reassured.<br />

Also, the captured insurgents had disclosed that Shekau usually moved in
 a convoy of cars painted in military colours while he sits in a MOWAG 
Armoured tank with Boko Haram inscription on its front.<br />
When Shekau was contacted, his captured men spoke to him in Arabic, 
assuring him that they had taken over Konduga, thereby giving him the 
all clear to proceed from Sambisa Forest. To convince him further, a set
 of his men captured were told to sing the victory song in Kanuri 
language they normally sing at the background.<br />

Having convinced himself that the messenger was his chief courier in 
such situation and the message is authentic, he and his followers made 
for Konduga, heavily armed with Anti-Aircraft weapons, General Purpose 
Machine Guns, several AK 47 rifles and other IEDS’.</div>

However, on entering Konduga town, he and his followers were encircled 
by strategically placed and heavily armed Nigerian soldiers. Immediately
 he contacted the messenger and discovered that something was amiss, he 
ordered his followers to start shooting in all direction.</div>

This spurred the Army Commanders to give the directive to open fire. 
When he discovered that the fire power of the Nigerian Army who used 
both Infantry and Artillery weaponry was overpowering that of his men, 
he jumped out of the MOWAG and made to escape.</div>

But eagle-eyed Nigerian Soldiers spotted him and opened fire in him, shattering his legs in the process. <b>It was learnt that he also received bullet wounds in other parts of his body leading to his bleeding to death.</b></div>

Recall that Military sources had on Sunday night disclosed that Nigerian
 troops scored a strategic victory in the current battle against 
terrorists operating in the North East on September 17.</div>

The sources noted that during a desperate attempt to capture Konduga in 
their delusion to eventually marching on and capturing Maiduguri, <b>the man who had been mimicking Late Abubakar Shekau in recent videos was feared to have been finally killed.</b></div>

<b>“It is getting more certain that the terrorists’ Commander who has 
been mimicking Shekau in those videos is the one killed in Konduga on

 said the suspected demise of the Boko Haram leader is responsible for 
the scattering of the sect members in different independent locations in
 the neighbouring countries, especially in Cameroon noticed in recent 
days.</div>

The security sources noted further that<b> “the process of confirming that the dead body we have is the same as that character who has been posing as Shekau is ongoing” </b>adding “<b>He is definitely a prominent terrorist commander. I don’t want to say anything about this yet please.”</b></div>

Another high ranking military source insisted that the resemblance is too striking to be a coincidence.</div>

Meanwhile, the Defence headquarters yesterday dismissed insinuation that
 Cameroonian military personnel carried out raids on Boko Haram 
terrorists into border communities in Nigeria.</div>

A Nigerian military intelligence source has told SaharaReporters that 
the top Boko Haram figure killed in a recent operation was one Bashir 
Mohammed, leader of the Islamist sect’s Uye camp.<br />

Cameroonian authorities yesterday released a photo of a dead man they 
identified as Abubakar Shekau, the loquacious and attention-seeking 
leader of the terrorist group that has launched deadly strikes in 
Nigeria’s northeast zone as well as Cameroon.

The Nigerian intelligence source told SaharaReporters that Nigerian 
soldiers, not Cameroonian troops, had killed Mr. Bashir last Friday in a
 fierce battle against Boko Haram insurgents in Konduga, Borno State. 
The late Mr. Bashir, who bore a striking resemblance to Abubakar Shekau 
and had appeared in a recent video, was killed as he led insurgents who 
were attempting to capture Konduga and then made a bid to seize 
Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, as well.<br />
<a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=6589160015449763735" name="more"></a>Nigerian soldiers routed the Islamist militants in 
Konduga, killing hundreds of them and capturing weapons as well as 
vehicles abandoned by fleeing insurgents.

The military as well as Nigerian government-appointed negotiators claim 
that the original Mr. Shekau had died since last year, reportedly 
assassinated by his lieutenants.

The intelligence source said Mr. Bashir had adopted Mr. Shekau’s nom 
deguere and had been the person responsible for issuing video messages 
in recent times.

Even though our source said the military was cautious not to claim 
credit for Mr. “Shekau’s” death, he added that the Nigerian military was
 buoyed by the capture of the armored tank usually displayed in the 
background of recent videos issued by the sect’s spokesman.</blockquote>

the accusations circled, an audio recording was obtained  by  
journalist, Nicholas Ibekwe, where a voice, suspected to be T.B Joshua, 
 was heard bribing journalists with <del>N</del>750,00 and telling them what to  write.<br />

To crown it all, a South African online news platform, ‘Mail &  
Guardian’ has on their website, a cartoon, which mocks Joshua in a  
satirical  manner.<br />

The cartoon features an oversized Joshua at the 
pulpit, with the  collapsed building site in the background. It has 
captions like, “Fake  healer”, “I am annointed by God’, ‘I prophesy the

allows blind people to listen to an audio readback of printed text is 
receiving rave reviews after its first day of availability and is being

 say the KNFB Reader app will enable a new level of engagement in 
everyday life, from reading menus in restaurants to browsing handouts in

is the result of a four decades-long relationship between the National 
Federation of the Blind and Ray Kurzweil, a well-known 
artificial-intelligence scientist and senior Google employee.</span><br />

 its website, K-NFB Reading Technology Inc and Sensotec NV, a

advantage of new pattern recognition and image- processing technology as
 well as new smartphone hardware, the app allows users to adjust or tilt
 the camera, and reads printed materials out loud. People with 
refreshable Braille displays can now snap pictures of print documents 
and display them in Braille near-instantaneously, said NFB spokesman 
Chris Danielsen.</span><br />

already given some people greater independence, users said on Thursday 
and Friday on social-media sites such as Twitter. One early adopter,

in the coming months, Kurzweil told Reuters in an interview. He may also
 explore a version of the app for Google Glass, a postage stamp-sized 
computer screen that attaches to eyeglass frames and is capable of 
taking photos, recording video and playing sound. “Google Glass makes 
sense because you direct the camera with your head,” Kurzweil said.</span><br />

another member went to their operational vehicle, brought out a bottle 
of beer, opened it and poured the content on the man of God where he 
fell. They left afterwards.</div>

Nemesis however caught up with Sodiq when he was arrested on September 
11, 2014 when he reportedly came back to Abeokuta for another operation.
 He was caught with a cut-to-size single barrel gun put in a bag. Also 
arrested was one Tunde Egunjobi in whose house Sodiq was nabbed. 
Egunjobi was said to be the one releasing his motorcycle for robbery 
operation and had confessed to the police that he knew the gang members 
as armed robbers. Both are currently undergoing investigations at the 
Anti- Robbery section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, 
Eleweran, in Ogun State Police Command.</div>

This is the first I would be going for robbery with the gang. I started 
with the gang six months ago. Ayo a.k.a. AY introduced me to robbery. I 
met AY at Saidi’s hemp joint where I used to smoke m*riju*na. He asked 
me to follow him somewhere but I didn’t know we were going for robbery.<br />
We went to Suraju a.k.a. Dajunja’s house at Oke-Bodea area of Abeokuta, 
from where the gang took off for robbery operation. I did not follow 
them that night but I knew they were going for robbery.<br />
Early the following morning, we entered the vehicle and started moving round the town looking for a victim to rob.<br />
Suddenly, I saw that AY who drove the vehicle blocked a vehicle by the 
side. We ordered the driver, his wife and daughter to lie down and 
dispossessed them of their belongings. Kassim shot the Reverend and 
Goddey opened a beer bottle and poured its content on him.<br />
I was given N40,000 out of the N150,000 collected from our victim.<br />
I returned to Lagos after the operation to continue my meat selling 
business. I came back to Abeokuta recently and was given a gun by one 
Mojeed who is a cultist. He told me that there was clash between him and
 other cult members over the presidency of the Eiye cult to which he 
belongs. He asked me to join him on a revenge mission. He put the gun in
 a bag which he gave me. I was also initiated into Eiye cult about four 
months ago.</blockquote>
