One of us was singing, while the rest of us danced and joked.<br /><br />“I went to the toilet, came back and saw some boys- about four of them- wielding cutlasses, bottles, sticks and all forms of weapons.<br /><br />“They started attacking people and we all took to our heels. But my brother could not make it as they pinned him down and hacked his head before pushing him into the water.<br /><br />“I had planned to travel with my brother to Osogbo for a festival and had also given him N58, 000 to keep for me in preparation for the trip when they killed him.”<br /><br />Another resident, Kayode Fafunke, said the gang came from Obanta Street, a neighbouring community.<br /><br />He said, “When the dust had settled, we didn’t know what had happened to Sikiru. But when we didn’t see him, we asked around and somebody said he saw the men cutting somebody with cutlasses and pushing him into the waters.<br /><br />“His relatives from Osogbo came around and we hired fishermen and paid them to help us look for him.<br /><br />“It was around 2pm that they called us that they had found his bloated body.”<br /><br />The case was said to have been reported at the Ketu Police Division as police officers came around to take pictures of the corpse and take statements from residents.<br /><br />A source in the area identified members of the gang to include Yoko, Sketel, Raphael, Joshua and Omo, all resident of Obanta Street.<br /><br />It was gathered that it was the third time this year that such an attack would happen as security operatives had not been able to handle the crisis.<br /><br />A commercial driver, Ibrahim Oladepo, told our correspondent the gang members were always clashing with another gang identified as Agiliti boys.<br /><br />“It’s unfortunate that we cannot sleep with our eyes closed in this area. This is becoming too much and I believe if the government want to help us, they know what to do to rid this area of cultists. There was no dust-to-dust rite.<br />The funeral which was mainly a family affair with no notable entertainer or celebrity at the vicinity, lasted less than an hour.<br />It was such an emotional sight as Kehinde kept calling her name, ‘Taiwo, Taiwo’ and chanting, ‘Why did you leave me?’<br /><br />Before the casket was lowered, Kehinde, in an all-white attire, pleaded to have a word with her...the officiating pastor from Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abule Egba (Lagos) zone, had to permit her to have five minutes of privacy.</span></span><br /> <br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> <img align="middle" border="0" height="400" src="http://encomium.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/IMG-20141015-00915.jpg?w=425" width="300" /></div> <br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br />WAS SHE MARRIED?!<br /><br />In an exclusive chat with Encomium;<br /><br />“I can tell you authoritatively that she was never married and the tale is total falsehood.”<br /><br />According to family source, if they were married they would not be staying together at their family house.<br /><br />Romance, Marriage and Death:<br /><br />In 2012, after the twins were burgled out of their Lagos apartment, one of the singing sisters Taiwo, was alleged to have been dating one Captain.  It’s a common knowledge that the dark Captain, is the financier and godfather of the twins.  He dotted on them like his own children. He helped them achieve the little success they have been able to record lately. If you may recall, the music enthusiast was instrumental to the success of their last album, Destiny Calling, launch held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos in 2011.<br /><br />He allegedly bought the two cute Hyundai cars the girls drive around Lagos. It was rumored that he also pampered Taiwo, with a new Hyundai Elantra, on her birthday in 2012.<br /><br />Rumors said that what was shrouded in secrecy was the hot romance between Taiwo and the Captain.<br /><br />Speculators further informed that the lid blew open when Taiwo allegedly took in for him.<br /><br />Realizing the mess he was heading for, the miffed Captain, dashed her hope and cajoled her to terminate the unwanted pregnancy. Immediately, after she succumbed, and the pain of flushing out the embryo was over they claimed that he started withdrawing from her.<br /><br />“All the spoils, stopped for the girls when he made the attempt to retrieve the new car.  Taiwo, became mad at him and threatened to wreck his family by revealing everything that transpired between them to his wife,” the source quipped, corroborating, the saying, ‘hell hath no fury, like a woman scorned.’<br /><br />Although, in 2013, that Taiwo Oshadipe, the second half of talented musicians, Oshadipe Twins, delivered a baby boy, was no longer news.
