Expressway, Lagos, without fanfare. There was no dust-to-dust rite.<br />The funeral which was mainly a family affair with no notable entertainer or celebrity at the vicinity, lasted less than an hour.<br />It was such an emotional sight as Kehinde kept calling her name, ‘Taiwo, Taiwo’ and chanting, ‘Why did you leave me?’<br /><br />Before
 the casket was lowered, Kehinde, in an all-white attire, pleaded to 
have a word with her...the officiating pastor from Redeemed Christian 
Church of God, Abule Egba (Lagos) zone, had to permit her to have five 
minutes of privacy.</span></span><br />

 2012, after the twins were burgled out of their Lagos apartment, one of
 the singing sisters Taiwo, was alleged to have been dating one 
Captain.  It’s a common knowledge that the dark Captain, is the 
financier and godfather of the twins.  He dotted on them like his own 
children. He helped them achieve the little success they have been able 
to record lately. If you may recall, the music enthusiast was 
instrumental to the success of their last album, Destiny Calling, launch
 held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos in 2011.<br /><br />He
 allegedly bought the two cute Hyundai cars the girls drive around 
Lagos. It was rumored that he also pampered Taiwo, with a new Hyundai 
Elantra, on her birthday in 2012.<br /><br />Rumors said that what was shrouded in secrecy was the hot romance between Taiwo and the Captain.<br /><br />Speculators further informed that the lid blew open when Taiwo allegedly took in for him.<br /><br />Realizing
 the mess he was heading for, the miffed Captain, dashed her hope and 
cajoled her to terminate the unwanted pregnancy. Immediately, after she 
succumbed, and the pain of flushing out the embryo was over they claimed
 that he started withdrawing from her.<br /><br />“All the spoils, stopped 
for the girls when he made the attempt to retrieve the new car.  Taiwo, 
became mad at him and threatened to wreck his family by revealing 
everything that transpired between them to his wife,” the source 
quipped, corroborating, the saying, ‘hell hath no fury, like a woman 
scorned.’<br /><br />Although, in 2013, that Taiwo Oshadipe, the second half
 of talented musicians, Oshadipe Twins, delivered a baby boy, was no 
longer news. But the paternity of the new bundle of joy was shrouded in 
secrecy.  The beautiful and highly skilled musician, who was elated with
 the arrival of the baby, had always dodged any question that had to do 
with the father of the baby as she was reluctant to let the cat out of 
the bag.<br /><br />But, the lid on the secret appeared to have been blown 
open with a shocking rumour that the father of the baby is the Captain 
and financier of the group.  They insisted that the baby is a result of 
Taiwo Oshadipe’s long time secret romance with him.<br /><br />Taiwo and her
 sister were reportedly relocated from their apartment in Oko Oba area 
of Lagos to a posh apartment in an undisclosed area of Lagos by her 
lover, when her stomach was protruding.</span></span><br />

 said to be the second to the last son of former Governor of Bayelsa 
State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, fondly called the 
‘Governor-General Niger Delta,’ while he was a governor, was killed on 
Saturday in the Middle East country.<br /><br />Sources familiar with the development alleged on Monday that the deceased’s death was a case of assassination.<br /><br />Two
 different versions have been given concerning where the former 
governor’s son was killed. The first version, our correspondent learnt, 
was that Oyoms was found dead by the staircase of his father’s house in 
Dubai. However, the second version alleged that the deceased’s body was 
found in his hotel room in Dubai, giving impression that he might have 
been assassinated.<br /><br />It could not be established whether Oyom’s 
father, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, had traveled to Dubai to take 
possession of his son’s body.<br />Indication that he might not have 
traveled emerged when he responded to a text message sent to his mobile 
phone on Monday at 12noon.<br /><br />Though it was later learnt about 2pm 
that he was headed for Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, in company 
with one of his older sons, to probably board a flight to Dubai.<br /><br />In his response to the enquiry on the incident, Alamieyeseigha simply said, “he was killed in Dubai.”<br />However, as of the time of filing this report, the circumstances leading to Oyom’s death remained sketchy.</span></span></div>

 two-time BBC African Footballer of the Year and former Captain of the 
Super Eagles, Austin Jay Jay Okocha described the 1-0 defeat to Sudan as
 confirming his worst fears that “football is long dead and gone” in 
Nigeria.<br /><br />Writing on Twitter on Sunday, Okocha wondered if the 
Super Eagles could have performed better, considering the level of 
development of football in the country.<br /><br />Stating that the result 
of the match has put the national team in a “very unusual situation,” he
 cautioned against unfairly criticising the Super Eagles and the 
coaching crew.<br /><br />“We are in a very unusual situation. The question 
is: ‘do we deserve better considering the state of our football affairs 
in recent times?’ Anyone that blames Keshi or the boys is short-sighted.
 Our football is long dead and gone. This is just the confirmation,” the
 former Nigerian midfielder tweeted.<br /><br />“Well done, South Africa. It
 is not the result most Nigerians expected, though. But we have to step 
up our game and grab the next six points to have a chance,” Okocha 
added.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Nigerians have been divided over the Super 
Eagles’ slim chances of qualifying for the 2015 African Cup of Nations 
following the Sudan defeat.<br /><br />Football commentator for Optima Live,
 Deji Faremi, said he held the belief that “Keshi’s cup is full”, adding
 that “Keshi should leave.”<br /><br />Faremi, however, noted that Keshi is 
not the “devil” behind Nigeria’s football woes, saying Nigerians should 
also begin to ask some pertinent questions about the running and 
development of football in the country.<br /><br />“Yes, Keshi has lost his 
dressing room and is always quarrelling with his players. And he is 
really arrogant, too. I think Keshi should leave. I believe he should 
leave. I won’t hold brief for Keshi; he should leave. But let’s ask 
ourselves: How many tactically-strong coaches, including foreign ones, 
have Nigeria had in the last five to 10 years?<br /><br />“When Keshi 
leaves, are we going to get a coach who is truly better, or are we going
 to continue with the same mediocrity? Do Nigeria really have top or 
world-class players at the moment compared to other African and 
non-African teams?<br /><br />“Imagine dumping many of these players, does 
Nigeria have genuinely better replacements? Do we think it’s not a 
problem that we do well in age-grade competitions, but the players 
‘decline’ as they grow?<br /><br />“Another important question is: Do 
Nigerian players (almost all) play as well for the national team as they
 do for the clubs? Is that double standards? Can Nigerians stop acting 
like he’s the devil? I also think Nigerians should start realising Keshi
 is not 30 per cent of the problem of our football,” Faremi argued on 
Twitter.<br /><br />Lamenting the performance of the Super Eagles, sports 
analyst with Super Sport, Colin Udoh, stated that the present crop of 
Super Eagles did not deserve to participate in the African Cup of 
Nations holding in Morocco.<br /><br />In his analysis of the match, Udoh 
stated that the Super Eagles lost early chances, adding that the various
 passes in the midfield were “pointless” with “no real penetration.”<br /><br />With
 the Super Eagles at the bottom of the table in Group A – with one point
 from three matches – Udoh tweeted, “Funny that South Africa may have 
done Nigeria a favour by winning. But this team (Super Eagles) does not 
deserve to be in Morocco.”<br /><br />A social commentator, Emeka Enyadike, 
wrote on Twitter that it was worrisome that Nigeria’s “best chances” at 
the qualifying match came from Mikel Obi, stating that the development 
showed that the Super Eagles “really has a problem.”<br /><br />Disagreeing 
with those calling for the head of Keshi, however, a respondent, 
Abubakar Isimbabi, explained that Keshi’s sacking would not solve the 
Super Eagles’ problem.<br /><br />“The outcome of Sudan-Nigeria match is 
unfortunate but I think Keshi should be left to finish the qualifiers.
