<strong>An Abuja High court has sentenced a 23-year-old prostitute 
named Rosemary Ebikeme to 100 days in jail for stealing her customer 
$3,200.</strong>

The senior magistrate, Abdulahi Ilaleh, of Life Camp Senior 
magistrate’s court, <br />
<a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=6589160015449763735" name="more"></a>Abuja, who convicted Rosemary after she pleaded 
guilty to a one-count charge, however, gave her an option of N5,000 
fine.<br /><br />
Ilaleh who warned the convict to desist from the crime said that the sentence would serve as a lesson to others.<br /><br />
Prosecutor Ona Odigiri told the court that on September 4 one 
Aleixandre Sachir of Tack Continental Estate, Life Camp, reported the 
matter to Life Camp Police Station.<br /><br />
According to the prosecutor, the  complainant met the convict in a 
cinema hall and took her to Waxride Hotel where she stole $3,200 from 
the complainant on September 2 and eloped.<br />

Odigiri said that the convict was arrested and handed over to the police when the convict came back to complain on September 4.<br /><br />
The convict, however, pleaded guilty to the charge and begged the 
court to have mercy on her saying: “Please have mercy on me, I am a 
student and I am only looking for money to pay my school fees.<br /><br />
I stole the money to do business so that I will stop selling my body 
for money. Please forgive me. “I stole the money from him, even though 
he paid me N5,000 for my service, please have mercy in God’s name.”<br />

The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 288 of the Penal Code Law.

action.” and the culprit might be facing up to 2 years in juvenile

long time since their deployment to combat Boko Haram terrorists in the

As you read this, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has suspended one of his 
pastors in Lagos, Michelle Okojie, for her “subversive activities.” 
According to a statement read during Sunday's service by Ray Okocha, the
 church’s Secretary General, Pastor Michelle Okojie had been visiting 
church members in private and slandering the ministry.<br />

"It has come to our attention that Pastor Michelle Okojie has been 
visiting church members in private and slandering the ministry, engaging
 in subversive activities that are against the scriptures."</blockquote>

Citing Bible passages from Romans 16:17-20 and Titus 3:10 wherein 
Christians were told to “watch out for those who cause divisions and 
create obstacles,” the church warned every member of the congregation to
 stay away from Ms. Okojie.<br />

“The church is not a social club where you can walk in and walk out at 
will and live disorderly. Pastor Michelle is hereby suspended from the 
fellowship. Avoid her. Do not fellowship with her. Do not try to counsel
 her or receive counsel from her. All you can do is direct her to her 
pastor. Do not be a partaker of another man’s sin.”<br />

A church member who did not want her name mentioned for faith reasons 
told PremiumTimes that she has been suspended for blaspheming against 
the ministry. But we don’t know exactly why. My zonal pastor just told 
us we should not have communication with her.”</div>

Pastor Chris also enjoined his congregation to refrain from speaking 
against a man of God. He described a man of God – as different from a 
preacher – as one who had been given a revelation from heaven.<br />

“To speak against the man of God is to bring a curse on yourself and 
your children. When you hear people speaking against a man of God, move 
away from there. Men of God don’t just talk. When they speak, God is 
forced to move.”</div>
