 also disclosed that he had to take standing from Benin to Lagos in a 
Luxurious bus just to come to Lagos for shows, adding that he owes a lot
 to Ali Baba and 2Baba who always support him with the sum of N500.<br /><br />Furthermore,
 he explained that he earned N8,000 in his first show in Jos which he 
co-host with fellow comedian, Julius Agwu. He stated that he had no room
 to sleep and had to beg Julius to let him sleep in his room and he had 
to sleep on the ground.</span></span>

 Federal High Court in Lagos on Thursday restrained twenty commercial 
banks in Nigeria from honouring any withdrawal cheque from Sani Dangote,
 younger brother of the richest black man, Aliko Dangote and his 
companies, Dansa Foods Limited and Bulk Pack Services Limited.<br />Court Freezes Dangote’s Accounts In 20 Banks<br />Mr. Sani Dangote<br /><br />The
 restraining order, according to the trial judge, Justice Okon Ab-ang, is
 to be in force until September 11, 2014 when all applications filed in a
 suit brought by Union Bank against Dangote and his companies .<br /><br />The
 judge also ordered all the banks involved to, within five days of the 
interim order, file affidavits declaring the defendants statement of 
accounts with them.<br /><br />Union Bank had taken Dangote and his 
companies to court over alleged refusal to liquidate about N5.2bn loan 
granted them since September, 2008.<br /><br />The bank, through its lawyer,
 Mr. Chukwudi Enebeli from the chambers of Mr. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN) had 
instituted suits seeking an order of mareva injunction to restrain all 
the defendants’ banks in Nigeria from allowing them withdraw funds from 
their accounts pending the determination of the suits.<br /><br />The banks 
named are  Access, CITI, Diamond, Ecobank, Enterprise, Fidelity, 
Keystone, Mainstreet, Skye, Wema, Heritage, Sterling, Unity and Zenith 
Banks.<br /><br />Others are  First Bank, First City Monument Bank, Guaranty
 Trust Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Standard Chartered Bank and United Bank for 
Africa.<br /><br />In the affidavits in support of its suits, Union Bank Plc
 urged the court to urgently grant the mareva order  because in a bid to
 evade payment of the loan, Dangote has been making frantic efforts to 
deplete the funds in the accounts of his companies, and that the bank’s 
investigations revealed that the defendants had started diverting the 
funds to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Switzerland.<br /><br />One
 Olufunmilola Ayoola, an official of the bank, who deposed to the bank’s
 affidavit,  alleged that the failure of the defendants to liquidate the
 monumental debt had negatively affected the Nigerian economy, a 
development which the bank claimed necessitated the suits.<br /><br />According
 to Ayoola, Union Bank Plc has been having difficulty in extending 
credit facilities to small scale businesses which in turn would have 
helped in boosting the nation’s economy and salvage the country from its
 present malaise of corruption and under development crisis.<br /><br />The 
bank stated that the funds which Dangote and his companies failed to 
pay, were capable of going a long way in impacting positively on the 
nation’s economy.<br /><br />When the matter came up for hearing on 
Thursday, the motion could not be heard as counsel for the defendants 
informed the court that they had filed objections challenging 
jurisdiction of the court to entertain the suit.<br /><br /> Out of all the 
banks, Diamond and Zenith appeared before the court on Thursday and 
explained that Dangote was equally indebted to them.<br /><br />Zenith Bank specifically said Dangote was indebted to the bank to the tune of seven million euros.<br /><br />In
 view of the defendants’ objections contesting jurisdiction, the judge 
said the matter would be adjourned  till September 11, 2014 to be able 
to take all the applications.</span></span></div>

A
 31 year old man named Wasiu Ogunnoiki was arraigned before a 
Magistrate’s Court in Sagamu yesterday September 2nd for allegedly 
posting negative remarks about the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun 
on his Facebook wall.<br />
<br />
Ogunnoiki is alleged to have posted a message on Facebook saying that 
the state Governor had demolished the houses of some citizens without 
compensating them accordingly, a statement the government say they find unacceptable, and could incite the citizens against the governor.

Ogunnoiki is also alleged to have published the photograph of the APC 
Chairman in Sagamu Local Government, Femi Felix Kafar on his Facebook 
wall, claiming that the man in partnership with members of the Labor 
party in the state, have concluded plans to sack governor Amosun from 
office before the 2015 general elections.<br />
<br />
When the two count charge was read out, Ogunnoiki  pleaded not guilty to
 the charges and the Chief Magistrate, Mr O.O. Ojo granted him bail in 
the sum of N400,000, with two sureties in like sum.<br />
<br />
The matter was adjourned till December 5th.

 Mothers in Mgbishii, a rural community in Ohaji/Egbema Local 
Government Area in Imo state have cried out to the 
government and the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiatical Province,
 Dr. Anthony Obinna, over alleged atrocities being committed by their 
sons and daughters in the area.</span></span><br />

 the women made this appeal during a recent visit to the Catholic

within their community. They say their sons have become so wayward that 
they beat up any police man who tries to intervene during any criminal

On Sunday August 31st, I reported about a young girl whose guardians make her wash this giant truck everyday. (read <a href="http://www.ogbongegist.com/2014/08/photos-child-labour-young-girl-made-to.html" target="_blank">here</a>). Well I have an update on it. The neighbour who sent me the initial story contacted me again yesterday to say;<br />

"Ever since the story was published they have stop packing that truck in 
front of the house and the little girl in question is no longer seen 
washing it. I think it's a welcome development but my eyes are on them 
should in case anything happens to her."</blockquote>

The pic above shows the horrific injuries a teenage girl suffered after 
her jealous boyfriend bit her lip during a violent attack. 18 year old 
Chantelle Ward said her boyfriend, 23 year old Rhys Culley sank his 
teeth into her flesh during a kiss after asking her if she loved him.<br />

Jurors
 at Newcastle Crown Court saw pictures of angry teeth marks in Miss 
Ward's upper lip after the attack, during which he smeared her own blood
 around her face and forced his tongue in her mouth.<br />
<br />
Culley, who 
had been in a relationship with Miss Ward for over two years, denied 
wounding with intent but was found guilty after a trial. He will be sentenced next month and has now been remanded in custody.<br />

Jurors heard Culley bit down on  
the victim's lip with the same force that would be needed to bite 
through a 1cm thick piece of rubber.<br />

As well as the gruesome "very
 deep" injury to her mouth, Miss Ward had bruising and scratches to her 
head and body after the attack, which started after a row about 
Facebook.<br />

Miss Ward told jurors during the trial Culley (pictured above) had tried
 to kiss her and asked her if she still loved him before the bite.<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
She said: "He put his whole mouth around my lips and pulled, I thought 
that my whole lip had come off. There was blood everywhere."</blockquote>
The court heard trouble had flared at Miss Ward's home after a night 
out, when he chased her from room to room and attacked her. Culley 
kicked and punched Miss Ward, pulled her hair,
 threw her into furniture and chucked things at her before finally 
launching the frenzied facial attack.<br />
<br />
The attack happened on February 22 this year, after the young couple had
 been out at the County Public House in South Shields. They
 had been celebrating Miss Ward's mother's birthday and at about 10.30pm
 Miss Ward, the defendant and her aunt Susan Stewart shared a taxi home,
 dropping her aunt off first.<br />
<br />
When the defendant and his 
girlfriend got back to her house, the mood of the night changed. The 
defendant brought up a conversation that his girlfriend had had with 
another man on Facebook earlier in the month.<br />
<br />
The defendant then took Miss Ward's phone off her in a bid to look through her Facebook messages.<br />

The court heard how when he found that the messages were no longer 
there he became angry and started to shout at Miss Ward accusing her of 
having something to hide.<br />
<br />
At this point, Miss Ward told the court,
 she realized that something was wrong and that this wasn't a 'normal' 
argument for the pair, who had been together for almost two and a half 
years.<br />
<br />
She became scared and lifted her phone to call the defendant's mother to
 ask him to come and get him. But Culley is said to have taken the phone
 from his victim, he also locked the doors so that she couldn't escape.<br />
<br />
Later, when her phone was left unattended she made an emergency call but
 Culley again took the phone from her. After Culley had bitten his 
victim, he "rubbed his 
face in hers, smearing the blood across her face and then he stuck his 
tongue into her mouth.<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"When the police arrived they saw that they both had blood on them and over their faces."</blockquote>
Culley was arrested and Miss Ward was taken to hospital to have her injuries examined.<br />
She
 suffered not only the injuries to her mouth, but bruising to her arms 
and body, a scratch to her left breast, bruising of the face and ear.<br />
<br />
During his evidence Culley said he did not mean to harm his "beautiful" girlfriend, who he knew he was lucky to have.</div>
