divorce. Oyakhilome who spoke through his Counsel said, though there’s a
divorce proceeding going on in the UK, the media houses have to stop

The Senator representing Borno Central in the National Assembly, Ahmed 
Zannah, on Wednesday raised the alarm that Boko Haram insurgents had 
started massacring teenage and adult males in its drive to expand its 
caliphate in the North–East.<br />
<br />
The Senator, who is a native of Bama, spoke just as Reuters reported 
that the Islamist fundamentalist sect has seized Bara, another community
 in Yobe State.<br />

Recounting how he lost two of his nephews to the Monday/Tuesday attacks 
on Bama, Zannah said, “As I am speaking to you, Bama has been captured 
and the insurgents are on the prowl for any male on sight. Everyone is a
 target as long as you are a male but for now, women and children are 
being spared. </blockquote>

“Both the military and Borno State Government are lying to Nigerians. To
 prove that I am the one misinforming the public, they should take 
journalists to the town to cross-check the fact.”</blockquote>
He challenged the Nigerian military and Borno State Government to take 
the media to Bama to cross-check his claims that Bama had been captured 
by Boko Haram if they say he is lying...<br />

<b>We’re in control of Bama –Military source</b><br />
Efforts by Punch to speak with Director of Defence Information, Maj. 
Gen. Chris Olukolade, on Zannah’s claim yielded no results as   calls to
 his mobile telephone did not connect.<br />
<br />
But a top military officer told one of our correspondents that the 
troops were as of Tuesday night still in firm control of Bama. He said 
the insurgents were   repelled  from Bama with fighter jets and ground 
troops of the Nigerian Army.<br />
<br />
The officer, who did not want to be named because he was not permitted 
to speak on the matter, added that the military had since deployed more 
men and weapons in Bama.<br />
<br />
He said, “The soldiers are in control of Bama and they are in the 
barracks now. Even the soldiers that came to Maiduguri from Bama who 
were at Sector 9 and Sector 10 are back there.<br />
<br />
“The commanders have also deployed more men; more arms and ammunition 
have also arrived so the soldiers are in the barracks now. Last night, 
two Air Force fighter jets and ground troops were used for the operation
 which led to their [Boko Haram] being dislodged from the town.<br />
<br />
“It is not correct to say that only soldiers are there; Not all the 
residents fled to Maiduguri, some that relocated temporarily are back to
 their houses. The air strike affected only military and security 
formations where the insurgents launched attacks.”<br />
<br />
The   officer threw   Zannah’s challenge back   at him to take journalists to the town to verify his claims.</div>

The level of moral decadence in the Nigeria has gone from bad to worse 
to the extent that a State University student masquerading as a Comrade 
can just go the press and make unfounded allegations against a highly 
performing sitting governor in his desperate bid to blackmail him to 
declare their candidate the winner of student election even though he 
was roundly rejected at the pools.<br />
<br />
A certain Comrade Muhd M. Liman (Dan Liman) threw moral to the Dogs and 
alleged that a “student union President Elect is being blocked by the 
‘agents’ of the state, allegedly because his father is an All Peoples 
Congress leader (APC) leader” I have tried unsuccessfully to find out if
 there is any registered party known as “All Peoples Congress” in 
Nigeria.<br />
<br />
For a student who has spent close to 8 years running a 4 year course in 
University without graduating, I wonder if his words can ever be taken 
seriously. What only worries me is his futile and mischievous attempt to
 drag an innocent man – Ibrahim Shehu Shema in to their misfortune of 
being rejected by the Katsina State Students that voted during the 
August 9th election. <br />
<br />
There were 5 contenders for the office of the presidency of the Association...<br />

Due to the poor handling of the election by the electoral committee, 
there were allegation of electoral irregularities by the members of the 
Electoral Committee themselves which resulted in to a tie with the two 
leading candidates – Comr Kabir Ahmad AKA Nigerian Students and Comr. 
Abdulrahman Salihu Maska having 81 votes each.<br />
<br />
The Electoral Committee members who were allegedly bought by Maska and 
his sponsors had mismanaged the election and it was marred by so many 
irregularities to the extent that votes got missing during counting!<br />
<br />
How can a student who is supposed to be certified worthy in character 
first before learning went to town with damning false, baseless and 
unfounded allegation against a governor who had within the years he had 
stayed in office undertook so many transformational projects not only in
 the University the so called Comrade is studying for years without 
graduating but in every sector of the state economy if not for moral 
decadence? It is on record that Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema’s administration
 in Katsina state undertook projects worth billions of naira in the 
University which has made the state-owned University a Citadel of 
Learning befitting the 21st century standard university setting.<br />
<br />
The same fraudulent electoral committee members after unsuccessfully 
waiting for a week to conduct a re-run election, mischievously and 
shamelessly declared the so called “President Elect” as the winner of 
the unconcluded election.  If I may ask the Kangaroo outgoing Vice 
President of the National Association of Katsina State Students 
(NAKATSS), of what interest will it serve His Excellency, Dr Ibrahim 
Shehu Shema if his preferred candidate is elected president of a student
 union? What harm would Maska bring to the Government of Dr. Shema had 
he been elected when more than 60% of the students rejected him? Who and
 how are the ‘agents’ of the state blocking the so called “President 
Elect”? What is his definition of “block” as used in his statement in 
defaming the Governor’s character? Is he too ignorant to know that, if 
the governor and the stakeholders have a choice to reject or accept 
whosoever is elected president of the student union as he alleged, there
 wouldn’t have been a need for the election?<br />
<br />
Before I end my piece, let me advice Dan Liman to concentrate in his 
studies and graduate from the university instead of engaging in wild 
goose chase in his disparate bid to defame the character of a good man 
and fanning the embers of discord in the state as his mates who had 
graduated 4 years ago are already working and helping to develop their 
fatherland. Let me advise him in my capacity as a Senior Comrade, that 
violence is the only thing that destroys with it what it intends to 
create.<br />
<br />
I will also advice the law enforcement agents to put this Kangaroo 
Comrade and his cronies on surveillance in case of possible outbreak of 
violence by students caused by his incitement. <br />

These days my heart cries when I see individuals who are desperate to 
get married; who can do anything whatsoever to get that ring on their 
finger.<br />

A desperate person is someone who feels she has no hope and is ready to 
do anything to satisfy this burning need. I read the tale of woe of two 
individuals that will be getting married in a couple of months. I will 
call them Emeka and Lola (real names withheld). Lola is in her late 30s 
and her desire to find the right guy has gone from hopefully optimistic 
to desperation so much that after only three months of knowing Emeka, 
she’s decided to marry him. </div>

  <br />
The thing about Emeka is that he is the complete opposite of Lola. She 
is obsessively neat; but Emeka never learns to clean up himself. She is 
an independent career woman; he has a chauvinistic streak a mile way. 
She manages her money well; but he buys based on what he wants rather 
than what he can afford…and the list goes on. They fight constantly to 
the point that it is uncomfortable to be around them. With the wedding 
only two months away, the only thing left to ask is: <br />
<br />
“Why would she want to marry a man who is obviously incompatible with her?” </div>
<div>
<br />
A female friend of mine also shared the story of a guy she met, who 
didn’t even ask her out, and blurted out suddenly: "Please, marry me.” </div>

He didn’t hear her out, and started making plans for a wedding. 
Individuals like this have an invisible signpost on their head with the 
inscription: “Will you marry me?” </div>

After a year or two into their wedding borne out of desperation to get 
married, many men and women soon realise that they are miserable with 
their spouses. Yes, you are being pressured by friends and families to 
get married; pressures that make those family picnics and extended 
family events bitter experiences. That is not enough reason to rush to 
the altar.</div>

Anything done in desperation is usually as a result of a decision taken 
under pressure. The romance novels and movies showing quickie marriages 
and glamour often don’t show the reality of a couple’s life later in 
their journey together. No thanks to singles seminars which only promise
 participants swift marriages without teaching them how to go through 
due process in relationships. </div>

<br />
According to Dr Angelis: “When you are feeling lonely or desperate, you 
are much likely to make poor love choices and end up in unfulfilling 
relationships”. Some people are so emotionally empty that they are 
desperate for anyone to marry. In the end, they end up in a painful 
relationship. The following are the signs of desperation which are not 
exhaustive. <br />
<br />
<b>Getting too attached too early:</b><br />
When you start getting attached to a person you just met and even saying
 “I love you” after a few dates, it’s a sign of desperation. You can 
make a clean break if you are involved with a needy, clingy and 
desperate person. <br />
<br />
<b>Having a profile listed with every single known dating site online:  </b><br />
This is a serious clue that you are desperate. If your profile is on 
every dating site you come across, that is a red flag you must deal 
with. <br />
<br />
<b>Constantly buying gifts:  </b><br />
Getting gifts is good, but when it becomes too much it loses its meaning
 and relevance. This is usually obtainable among men. The average dude 
believes he can use gifts to buy his way into a lady’s heart. <br />
<br />
<b>Wanting to meet the family too soon: </b><br />
“When am I meeting your people?” Is usually the question a desperate 
person asks. You should give much time before introducing family and 
other relatives to a suitor. If you are dealing with a person who is 
pushing to meet your family and you are barely dating two months that’s a
 red flag. Allow time to play its role in your relationship. <br />
<br />
<b>Dressing in attire that is provocative:  </b><br />
This is a clear example of someone who is insecure. This is prevalent 
among women. If you come across this type of lady it’s time to move on 
to someone who is comfortable in her own body and doesn’t need to show 
off her cleavage to everyone she comes in contact with. </div>

From a young age many of us have been taught that marriage is a rite of 
passage and you don’t become an adult or a woman until you get married. 
This social pressure, real or imagined, doesn’t make it true. You do not
 become a full fledged adult by getting married. Marriage doesn’t 
validate your adulthood; it only reflects your maturity. <br />

The President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s chief Boko Haram 
negotiator, Dr. Stephen Davis has named the President’s appointed ex 
Army Chief, General Azubiike Ihejirika as a chief sponsor of Boko Haram,
 the world’s worst terrorist organization. More than four days after the
 revelation, the Nigerian government has not denied the damning 
revelations. We doubt they have the capacity to.<br />
<br />
In view of this, it is becoming sickly obvious and clear to Nigerians 
that this so-called Boko Haram ghost organization is more than just some
 of the most ingenius people, able to hide in jungles for years and lead
 well armed formations of dozens of vehicles to assault the citizens of 
the north; but a permitted, tolerated and supported organization on a 
mission on behalf of Nigeria’s army chiefs. <br />
<br />
Boko Haram has been supported by the army chiefs to decimate farming and
 farmers of the north. If General Azubuike Ihejirika is a sponsor of the
 terrorist group, it explains why there were so many reports of the 
Nigerian military suspiciously pulling out hours before many Boko Haram 
attacks on farming villages in the north and only returning after over 8
 hours sometimes, when Boko Haram was sure to have finished killing 
every living thing they found in the village and burning all structures.<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<span style="color: #cc0000;">General Ihejirika is now understood to 
have been behind the systematic transfer of Nigeria’s military tanks, 
Armored carriers and weapons to Boko Haram terrorists; which has been 
going on throughout the Jonathan administration</span>. The people of 
Kala Balge knew this and when they defeated Boko Haram and re-captured 
two light weight tanks, they rather burned them than gave them to the 
Nigerian army under Minimah when he came to ask for them.</blockquote>

The people said they know these tanks will be given (or sold) back to 
Boko Haram. Nigerian military helicopters have been reported supplying 
Boko Haram in Sambisa forest to support the Boko Haram terror pogrom on 
the northern farmers. It must be mentioned that as Boko Haram's 
secondary agenda is the displacement of farmers and freeing up of 
fertile farm-land; some top dogs also want the land of the north and we 
can expect a money flow and people buying up the land right now. 4 
million farmers have thus far been displaced in the army supervised 
pogrom.<br />
<br />
Even in the killing of Boko Haram terrorists in large numbers which some
 believe is a defense of the military chiefs, what was actually 
happening was a systematic controlled genocide. The army chiefs sponsor 
the key Boko Haram leaders who forcefully conscript innocent northern 
youth and then the army kills these youth, never thinking of a way to 
protect the youth before they are trapped, or to rescue them, but 
leaving them with the terrorists till they become one with them as they 
recently did as we all witnessed with the abducted 234 Chibok Angels. 
This cycle continued indefinitely. The army allows Boko Haram to go 
again and raid a village and conscript its youth, then the army kills 
the youth, while leaving the Boko Haram well known head offices/camps in
 Sambisa un touched. In this fashion, the army continues to maintain a 
supply of northern youth to be killed via its cooperation with its pal 
Boko Haram top leadership. <br />
<br />
Boko Haram as definitely on a mission of genocide and that means the 
military chief was behind a genocide of citizens in Nigeria’s north. 
This is what the famous ex Navy Admiral, Governor Murtala Nyako Genocide
 memo of April 2011 stated. Being an ex-navy officer, former Adamawa 
governor Murtala Nyako probably read the signs on the wall clearer than 
the rest of us could and alerted the world that what was happening in 
his state and the neighboring states in Nigeria’s north followed the 
full characteristics of a government sponsored genocide.<br />

When the governor was to be impeached as the first and only yet governor
 to be impeached under the Goodluck administration; he reportedly said 
that the conditions for him to keep his job, were to denounce his memo, 
but even if death were put before him, he will never denounce this memo 
because he believed and stood by it. The Governor had always accused 
someone in the Office of National Security, NSA as being involved in 
Boko Haram terror. Nigerians are now realizing that Admiral Nyako knew

General Azubuike Ihejirika was appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan 
to conduct this genocide on the north. The President of Nigeria is

The President of Nigeria has defended not attacking and killing Boko 
Haram by stating that Boko Haram are his siblings and he will never send
 the army to kill his family. This he said in August of 2012. With 
Ihejirika exposed as Boko Haram, one gets a clearer picture of what the 
President of Nigeria professed and how and why he acted or fails to act.

The President is today also responsible for the careless and terror 
facilitatory actions of the new Chief of the army, General Kenneth 
Minimah, including the current army facilitation of Boko Haram in 
continuance of the Ihejirika agenda and the murder of not only innocent 
citizens in Borno, but also that of the three sons of a prominent 
Islamic leader in Nigeria, Sheikh Zakzaky in Kaduna and other innocent 
Nigerians in the Kaduna provocation and elsewhere. It is time for

PLEASE LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE PASTOR ANITA I KNOW AS MOST OF YOU 
YOUNG ONES IN NIGERIA DO NOT HAVE MUCH OF AN ENCOUNTER WITH HER. Rev 
Anita has been my pastor for about 13 years now. I am one of the 
founding members of her church and I have seen her grow a church from 
using all any available venue while planting more churches in faith 
sending her best member out to start a new church, from two churches in 
England has grown to churches in almost every borough and cities. Rev 
Anita will see anyone and everyone regardless of your status.<br />

“If she ever kept you waiting, she will apologise profusely throughout 
the meeting and make it good to you. Rev Anita without an office will 
still counsel us even in her car on Wednesday night after church yet she
 has 1hour 30mins drive back home with 2 young girls. For so long she 
was driving a volkswagon golf until 2005 that we bought her a BMW X3 and
 she still refused to drive it for many months until she was begged to 
use it so that we can be blessed. She used the same car until 2010/2011 
and the replacement she had then is still what she used till her last 
day in church last year.<br />

“We begged her to come around for us to celebrate her birthday but she 
will still go into hiding. On her return the little song we will do for 
her, she will return it to Rev Chris in thanksgiving. Any money you give
 her she sends it straight to church account or Loveworld TV. If we ever
 raise money for her birthday she ask us to go and use it for evangelism
 or send it to Loveworld TV. When you give her any material thing, 
regardless of the shop you purchased it, she will use it for you to see 
and thank you as long as she sees you for the gift.<br />

“At Christmas, while service was on up to 2013 christmas she will give 
almost everyone in church gift. Foodstuff will be dropped at your side 
as service. She will specially take care of the elderly, help you settle
 down when you arrive in the country. No barren left without children as
 she will make it her project until it happens. So how come people came 
up with this terrible accusation. You accused her of being rude to some 
CEC members. Wow. This is wicked. First for so long, she was the Vice 
President and others have other positions. I thought husband and wife 
are one.<br />

“She raised 2 girls in this society and the 2 girls are admirable, 
humble, down-to-earth children. They are children not a reflection of 
the home they grew. Pastor Chris was not around. He came to our church 
on Fathers’ Day sometimes ago and he told us one of the daughters’ 
requested for it as her birthday gift – how touching and how she 
treasures her dad’s presence. She could ask for material thing but she 
asked for his presence and we all are here judging them. I remember 
these girls will politely beg me to allow them carry my baby and they 
will play with him and when they bring him back, they will thank me for 
letting them carry him and I’m surprised because I should thank them for
 helping me. And they do same to other mothers in the mothers’ area 
where we sit in church. Is it not what they saw their mum do, they are 
not class-freak.<br />
<br />
“I remember that visit of Pastor, Rev Tom talking said we may not value 
what we have. That she is the grace in the CEC. If they all condemn 
someone, she will see a good reason to embrace the person and she has 
always been right. Rev Chris said at one IPPC that most changes we see 
here in the ministry, she in her simple way brought them and that was 
the day he spoke about how she talked about the effort we put into 
publicity of programme but that same or more should be put in telling 
what the Lord did in that programme when its over. So what changed now, 
because she is asking for a change.<br />
<br />
“I have read all the messages here by some writers, the news is all over
 our church and I have taken my time to find out what is really 
happening and to the much available, below are the things Rev Anita is 
asking for:<br />

She told Rev Chris that you are such an organised person, you give us 
almost a full year calendar on Dec 31st of every year, please put the 
family in the timetable too. The times you don’t have any engagement, 
please come home. I need you and the children need you. Please bear in 
mind she has been here since 1999 and she was just about 30 years old 
then as a married woman with 2 children. So for almost 16 years of her 
marriage, no husband at home for straight 1 week, no dad at home for the
 children. No christmas, yet he has party with the staff that we all 
watch at Christmas. Even Jesus always withdrew from the crowd to 
fellowship with his father.<br />
<br />
- She asked Rev Chris that on hearing of the immorality, ‘not holding it
 against you but let all these ladies move out of White House and go and
 get houses outside. They are rich enough to buy houses at their place 
of choice if they don’t already have one and allow them marry. Who 
benefits from this choice, is it not everyone? So which is her offence 
in this. And Rev Chris did not agree to it. The brothers even said they 
went to have meeting with him in South Africa to beg him to at least 
meet her half-way but he refused. </div>

Four members of a robbery gang who were arrested by the Lagos State 
Police Command have confessed that they usually prayed to God before any
 operation. One of the robbers, Mutalubi Abdullahi, said that the prayer
 was to ensure that only ‘sinners’ would be dealt with by the gang, 
while the ‘innocent’ would be spared.<br />

Abdullahi, who was arrested along with Ismaila Moruf, Opeyemi Akinyemi 
and Sarah Emmanuel, were arrested by the operatives of the Special 
Anti-Robbery Squad of the command, for robbing early morning pedestrians
 and motorists in the Mile 2 area of the state.<br />

According to Punch, the gang, which operated on commercial motorcycles 
otherwise called okada, made use of three locally-made guns in their 
operations.<br />

The police said the female member of the gang, Sarah Emmanuel, allegedly
 supplied two of the three guns. It was gathered that two of the guns 
had, however, been recovered by the police.<br />
<br />
The police said the suspected robbers, who were arrested from their 
respective hideouts in Iyana Iyesi, Sango Ota, Ogun State, also operated
 in the Agege, Isolo and Oshodi areas.<br />
<br />
It was gathered that the mode of operation of the gang was to attack 
unsuspecting motorists and pedestrians on the expressway early in the 
morning and during traffic hitches.<br />
<br />
But 29-year-old Abdullahi from Igbeti, Oyo State, said he and other 
members of the gang were driven into robbery by poverty. He said they 
were careful to rob only those who deserved to be robbed.<br />
<br />
He said, “That is why we usually prayed to God before embarking on any 
operation. The prayer was for God to protect us and to bring only 
sinners our way so that those who were innocent would be spared.<br />
<br />
“I was formerly working as a panel beater in Oyingbo, Lagos State. I 
started robbing just last year. I have gone on robbery operations about 
10 times.<br />
<br />
“The gang has three guns. We only use the guns to frighten people. Mile 2
 Expressway, Alapere and Oshodi are areas where we operated. The money I
 made from panel beating and okada riding was not sufficient. That was 
why I took to robbery.”<br />
<br />
Thirty-year-old Akinyemi, who was an also an okada rider before joining 
the gang, said he made about N25,000 from each robbery operation.<br />
<br />
He said, “I was an okada rider, but when I had an accident with the 
okada, I stopped the business. I made about N25,000 each from about four
 operations I went with the gang. Our style was to attack people during 
traffic jams. My wife did not know I was a member of a robbery gang. It 
is true that we prayed before our operations, asking for protection as 
we went out.”<br />
<br />
Moruf, 30 from Epe, Lagos, said he was lured into the gang after his job as a roadside mechanic did not bring sufficient income.<br />
<br />
The only female in the gang, 31-year-old Emmanuel, who allegedly 
supplied them with guns, said her friend, Modinat, convinced her to buy 
the guns for the gang.<br />
<br />
She added that apart from getting guns for the gang, she had not gone for any operation.<br />
<br />
She said, “I was working as a hairdresser. It was one of my friends, 
Modinat, who called me and said the gang needed a gun. Modinat was a 
girlfriend to one of them. She then asked me to come with her and I did.
 We got the two guns for N25,000 at Idi Iroko from some mechanics. That 
was in February. I know I am guilty.”<br />

After days of keeping sealed lips, the founding Pastor of Christ Embassy
 Church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has finally broken his silence. 
Although he is not denying that his estranged wife, Anita, has dragged 
him to court, seeking divorce, he has however threatened legal action 
against journalists.<br />

Reacting to the saga, Pastor Chris' lawyer warned that:<br />

“The attention of our client, Rev. Chris Oyakhilome, and the church has 
been drawn to the wave of false, malicious and fabricated stories being 
published in the print and electronic media about his person, the church
 and a matrimonial cause between him and his wife." </blockquote>

Sharply criticizing the recent coverage of the divorce proceedings, 
which the statement did not refute, the release claimed that publishers 
went so far as to fabricate claims that he had committed adult*ry 
against his wife, Anita. These contradict her claims that the leader of 
Christ Embassy Church had indeed been unfaithful during their "terribly 
degenerated" marriage, something she disclosed through her counsel.</blockquote>

According to Sahara Reporters, Pastor Chris spoke through his lawyer, 
Mr. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN). He said the accusations of adul-tery is a 
"false and malicious" attack against him and Christ Embassy church.<br />

Characterizing the media's coverage of his wife's efforts to divorce him
 as “complete distortion of the facts in the pending proceedings in the 
United Kingdom”, the statement cited the coverage as "selfishly 
motivated" for political and financial advantage.<br />
<br />
Oyakhilome's counsel further said the media's coverage was engineered to
 bring him and the church shame and ridicule, though his wife was the 
person who aired the allegations against him.<br />
<br />
The statement acknowledged freedom of the press, but quite 
contradictorily cautioned that further action will be taken to safeguard
 the image of the church and the pastor if coverage continued.<br />
<br />
"Be warned therefore that unless the concerned media houses desist from 
further publishing words and stories which are false and damaging of our
 client’s reputation and the church, we shall, without further recourse 
to the concerned publishers, promptly embark on appropriate legal 
machinery with a view to protecting our client’s reputation and that of 
the church," Pastor Chris' lawyer stressed.</div>
